Great stops National botanic garden (free!) including optional wonderful ORCHID garden. (Fee) . Highly recommend for a short stay in Singapore

I was in Singapore for a very short amount of time and wanted to see as much as possible - Big Bus Tours was the best way to do this. There are two routes, both going to the main sights in Singapore. I’d recommend doing both routes fully first whilst listening to the audio guide on board, then afterwards stopping and getting off at different points. Drivers were friendly, buses were frequent, the audio guide was clear and I really liked using the Big Bus Tours app - it made finding bus stops easier and had approximate timings for buses arriving. Paper maps and headphones are provided when you first get on a bus. I bought the 48 hour ticket, but with careful planning could have potentially done it all in the 24hrs one. Definitely worth the money as once you’ve fine the tour you feel satisfied that you’ve seen everything Singapore has to offer!

Response from the operator: Dear K5801LUkatieb, Thank you for your wonderful review and recommendation! We are delighted that Big Bus Tours helped you make the most of your short stay in Singapore. It is great to hear that you enjoyed both routes, the audio guide, and found our app useful for planning your journey. We hope to welcome you back again for another sightseeing adventure! Great service but don’t bother with the night tour.

This does what it says- there are 2 routes each serving very different themes- city and heritage - because of this options to change from one route to the other are limited. The commentary is informative, wi-fi on board is helpful and staff are courteous. We had a 2 day ticket which included the night tour- this was underwhelming. First stop at 6 pm at a viewpoint - nice photos but didn’t really need to have a 15 min talk about a reservoir! Secondly - hawkers food centre - we knew there would be satay tastings ( get your elbows sharpened) but it wasn’t clear the stop here was an hour ( free time) so you could eat …. We had eaten before the tour so this was an hour of hanging around waiting. Finally the gardens by the bay light show where you miss half the “trees” as you are perched on rocks trying to see. My advice- grab a taxi and just go to the light show independently. Return journey was laughable as the guide -Roger kept playing the “ I’m going to take you on an unscheduled detour ( because I’m so great) to see the Merlion” (because I want your tips!) charade! Buses run from around 9:30-6 pm, approx 30 mins apart. Each circular route takes around 90 mins For us , 6 pm was too early - wish they’d run a bit later

    Two different routes of...

Two different routes of Singapore main areas, nice and smooth sightsee of the city, each route duration of 1h and 1.5h approximately - easy to do as a all-sights-in-a-day trip.

Nice way to see the city

It’s a simple and easy way to see the city. If you have time use this approach. If you only have limited time use GRAB and have more direct tours

Response from the operator: Dear 1247912, Thank you for your review! We are glad you found it a simple and convenient way to see Singapore. We appreciate your tip and hope to welcome you again for another enjoyable sightseeing experience! Your Big Bus Singapore Team

Big Bus Singapore Hop-On Hop-Off Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Singapore.

How much does Big Bus Singapore Hop-On Hop-Off Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $54 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Singapore usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Big Bus Singapore Hop-On Hop-Off Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Singapore is not rushed.

Is Big Bus Singapore Hop-On Hop-Off Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 874 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Singapore, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Big Bus Singapore Hop-On Hop-Off Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Big Bus Singapore Hop-On Hop-Off Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Big Bus Singapore Hop-On Hop-Off Tour?

    +

Around 306 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Singapore can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Singapore and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Big Bus Singapore Hop-On Hop-Off Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Singapore within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Singapore?

    +

On Outty we rank every Singapore experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Singapore Highlights Small Group Bike Tour on Full-Sized Bicycles, Lion City Bike Tour of Singapore, Singapore River Cruise, Night Garden Rhapsody & Spectra by CYT. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Singapore?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Singapore?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
