Good tour but should be half the price
The tour was good but not worth $209AUD per person. The day consisted of a return 20min transfer from our hotel. A casserole for lunch. A couple of hours in a tuktuk with entry into Mandela house. Overall the transfer driver named Wisdom was very friendly and accommodating the tuktuk driver we had on the day was excellant and full of knowledge. The casserole for lunch was nice. The only thing that drastically changed our star rating was value. We feel this tour should have been half the price of what it was. Definitely not worth $209AUD per person

Sing Soweto
🛺 Our last day in Africa involved a tuk tuk tour of Soweto. The tours are a local project to bring tourism dollars to poor areas and tell the story of Apartheid and what came next themselves. Our guide for the area said: “This is not poverty tourism like a safari of poor people but a chance to support this area and to tell the untold stories.” We saw memorials to student protesters killed in the uprising and the homes of Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and different neighborhoods. It was very interesting. We felt safe.

I highly recommend this...
I highly recommend this tour. We did the Tuk Tuk since rain was in the forecast. It was an interesting way to see the difference in ways of living for South Africans. Lunch was delicious.
