Doing Ephesus? Hire Faith Kilig!!!

Having Faith Kilig as our guide was a game-changer! Of all the guides I’ve had this week, Faith K was by far the best. He was engaging, funny, interactive, kept all of us in the group involved and was super knowledgeable regardless of what we asked him. I highly recommend Faith if you are touring Ephesus…plus throws ina few GREAT surprises!

Great experience w Nazim on Ephesus ruins private tour

We did a private tour of Ephesus ruins w Nazim and he was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable and informative about what we were seeing. Van was nice & AC. Excellent tour. Stopped at optional pottery place, lunch, & turkish rug .

Ephesus port tours - private tour with Banu - allowed brilliant day!

We had such an amazing skip the line" private tour with our brilliant tour guide, Banu. As we were an extended family of 6 ranging from 9yrs to 71yrs, Banu allowed for a very flexible tour, catering for all our varying wishes, interests and needs from Greek mythology, archaeology, Christian history, art and shopping! The highlight was an intensive tour of ancient Ephesus, the terraced houses and the Ephesus experience with very knowledgeable commentary from Banu. We also visited places where we could view fascinating carpet weaving and pottery demonstrations. The children were able to participate in both places and we were also pleased to experience generous Turkish hospitality. The tour also included a trip to the temple of Artimes, ancient Turkish baths, panoramic views and of course the requested souvenir shop. This was the first time I had done a private tour and can highly recommend the more intimate and personal tour. Our tour guide Banu was so personable, knowledgeable and understanding. Thank you Banu and Ephesus Port Tours for an amazing day.

Great trip and guide but involuntarily tricked into pressure sales

We are an intergenerational family of 6 with 2 kids and 2 grandparents so we booked a private tour with FATHI to accommodate everyone’s needs since we wanted to see Ephesus and the highlights of the local area. Fathi was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to show us around at our own pace. The transport was in a high end Mercedes mini-bus which was well- air conditioned, comfortable and clean. After seeing Ephesus we saw the temple of Artemis and from there we were strongly encouraged to visit a local pottery and arts center. We were a little annoyed at this because we EXPLICITLY emailed the tour operator before the visit to request NO shopping stops. The ceramics art center was very interesting but we felt some sales pressure to buy something. After this (which took up 45 minutes) we were taken to a ‘local’ spot for lunch which also turned out to be a super high pressure sales location for Turkish rugs. Lunch was very good, fresh and reasonable priced but afterwards we ended up in a room, with drinks, surrounded by men and multiple sales people making us feel like we should spend thousands on a rug because they were so hospitable. We did not appreciate being led into this sales funnel after being told we should ‘look’ at some rugs. We spent another uncomfortable 45 minutes of our private tour being ‘sold’ things we didn’t need. Given it was a morning trip we were pretty upset at spending nearly half our time in sales rooms after we specifically asked for non of this. To be clear, FATHI, the guide, was great, but he clearly didn’t see my email and explicit instructions that we did NOT want to stop for any shopping.

Emma was amazing guide!!!

We had an incredible experience with our guide, Emma. She was incredibly kind and explained everything perfectly. She also accommodated our wishes and had an contagious positive attitude.
