Tirta Empul Temple
Tirta Empul is an important temple complex and holy mountain spring, located in the village of Manukaya in central Bali. The site serves as a legendary setting of a traditional tale about good versus evil. It is also a national cultural heritage site. The complex, built circa 960 AD, is also a silent witness to the old Balinese kingdom years, particularly at the time of the Warmadewa Dynasty. Another nearby and prominent site on top of a hill is the presidential palace, Istana Tampaksiring, built during the years of the nation’s first president, Soekarno. Tirta Empul, meaning ‘holy water spring’ is actually the name of a water source located within the temple. The spring feeds various purification baths, pools and fish ponds surrounding the outer perimeter, which all flow to the Tukad Pakerisan River. Various sites throughout the region and many other archaeological relics relate to local myths and legends.

Perfect Experience
Perfect driver with a lot of experience. I appreciated a lot the stories and insights into Bali and understanding more about the culture etc. I thought I would never say it with all the traffic in Bali, but I really enjoyed the rides!
Response from the operator: Dear Lena, Thank you once again to share your experience with other people on TripAdvisor.

Fantastic tour
We had a fantastic tour with Wayan. We booked last minute the day before Nyepi so some of the roads were closed, but Wayan kept us informed and took our requested changes into account. We were really happy with the flexibility! Wayan was very knowledgeable about the temples which was great and gave us a fantastic tour. The car was very comfortable as well. Due to it being the day before Nyepi one of the sites was closed earlier than we thought so we couldn't attend, but this was a one-off and as we had booked the afternoon this was understandable. A great tour to take to learn more about the culture of Bali!
Response from the operator: Dear Abby, Thank you for your time to wrote your experience during your holiday with us TripAdvisor.

Highly recommended
Our driver, Yandi, was excellent. Every attraction we visited was absolutely beautiful, and he provided detailed explanations of the cultural history, making the experience even more enriching. The car was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the bottled water provided. Yandi was incredibly attentive and ensured we had a smooth and enjoyable trip. He also helped us take photos everywhere we went, it was like having our own photographer along for the day. We were so impressed with his service that we booked him for a second day. Highly recommended!
Response from the operator: Dear Rochelle, Thank you for your time to wrote review and shared your experience on TripAdvisor.

Warm, honest, and safe driver! Highly recommend!
Wayan and his son Ari were excellent & safe drivers. We booked Wayan for several day trips and transfers across Bali for our holiday and he was always easy to reach on WhatsApp, always on time and we had wonderful conversations together during our many hours on the road with him! He taught us about Balinese culture and the environment, and had great recommendations for sightseeing and activities to do as we visited during the wet season. He was lovely and great with our chatty 3 yr old! We are grateful to have met Wayan and we will be handing his number out to all friends travelling to Bali!
Response from the operator: Dear Ruby, Thank you for your time ton wrote review and shared your experience on TripAdvisor with other traveler.

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Best of Ubud - Ubud Tour Popular - All Inclusive: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ubud.
How much does Best of Ubud - Ubud Tour Popular - All Inclusive cost?
+
Prices start at $42 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Best of Ubud - Ubud Tour Popular - All Inclusive take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.
Is Best of Ubud - Ubud Tour Popular - All Inclusive worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 37 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Best of Ubud - Ubud Tour Popular - All Inclusive?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Best of Ubud - Ubud Tour Popular - All Inclusive suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Best of Ubud - Ubud Tour Popular - All Inclusive?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Best of Ubud - Ubud Tour Popular - All Inclusive start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ubud?
+
On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ubud?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ubud?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
