Evergreen Escape up to Mt. Rainier was Awesome!

Evergreen Escapes provided a very fun experience in this state park! Evan was our knowledgable tour guide as we trekked around Mt. Rainier; informing us about the interesting flora and fauna of the environment! Such an amazing time hiking up to the Pinnacle Peak Saddle! Good group, good tunes, good vibes! We lucked out on weather: clear skies and gorgeous views of Mt. Adams (and Mt. St. Helens & Mt. Hood). The lunch was delicious and healthy — so good after our ascension/descension!

    Worth Every Penny!

Amazing experience! Definitely worth every penny! My husband and I wanted a tour to Mount Rainier so that we wouldn't have to worry about renting a car, navigating, figuring out where to go inside the state park, where to park the car, etc. We are soooo glad we booked the tour! It ended up being a crazy busy day because of gorgeous, totally clear weather (Saturday October 3rd). There's no way we would have known where to go and where to park the car in those crazy crowds! We would have been totally overwhelmed without a guide. Our guide Megan was very knowledgeable about the park and Mount Rainier. She knew all kinds of little things, like to have us hop out of the van to get a photo with the state park entry sign, exactly where to see views of waterfalls, or where we might see wildlife. She was super friendly and very accommodating, always reminding us that the tour was flexible based on what our group wanted to do. I'm not very fit, so when we stopped for an hour to explore on our own, I opted for an easier, fully paved path, but others in our group took a more challenging path. We got very lucky with the clear weather, so we got amazing mountain views, including a very rare view of the mountain in Reflection Lake! That was the highlight of the trip for me. We were very pleased with the food and beverage offerings. They provided a small breakfast snack of coffee, tea, and pastries on our drive to the park. Then later, several snack options were available (chips, goldfish crackers, beef jerky, granola bars, nuts, trail mix) and canned beverages (Arizona tea, sparkling water, etc). Lunch was brought from a local caterer, served on real plates with real cutlery, and felt homemade (chicken, tofu, cabbage slaw, quinoa and sweet potatoes). It was so nice to not worry about bringing or buying our own food. Finally, it was very nice to be driven straight back to our hotel, not having to worry about driving after an exhausting day. When I was choosing a tour, this felt like a splurge at the price point. But afterward, I was so glad we did it! After adding up everything we got, it was a good value. I highly recommend this tour!

Claire was the best Mount Rainier guide!

Had the absolute best time on our Mount Rainier tour thanks to Claire. She was super informative and actually knew so much cool history and facts about the park instead of just reading off a script. Plus she was just a really cool vibe to hang out with all day—super easygoing and kept everyone in a great mood. She’s also an insanely smooth driver on those crazy winding mountain roads, which was a huge relief. She even went out of her way to open the van door for us every single stop like a total pro. If you do a tour out there, definitely hope you get her as your guide. 10/10 experience!

    Highly Recommend

Very responsive office / support staff. Friendly, knowledgeable guide who went out of his way to ensure we had great view opportunities and unlike some day tours, plenty of time was allotted at each location.

    Tour review

So worth it to have a guide. The weather took a turn and Megan knew just what to do. Temperatures dropped and we got to see some snow in September! Having a guide allows you to enjoy the sights and not have to worry about the roads.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seattle.

How much does Best of Mount Rainier National Park from Seattle: All-Inclusive Small-Group Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $344 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seattle usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Best of Mount Rainier National Park from Seattle: All-Inclusive Small-Group Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 10.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seattle is not rushed.

Is Best of Mount Rainier National Park from Seattle: All-Inclusive Small-Group Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 89 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 880 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Seattle, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Best of Mount Rainier National Park from Seattle: All-Inclusive Small-Group Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Best of Mount Rainier National Park from Seattle: All-Inclusive Small-Group Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Best of Mount Rainier National Park from Seattle: All-Inclusive Small-Group Tour?

    +

Around 308 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seattle can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seattle and add a light layer if any part of the 10.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Best of Mount Rainier National Park from Seattle: All-Inclusive Small-Group Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

What are the best things to do in Seattle?

    +

Seattle's best days leave the city: Mount Rainier, the San Juans, Olympic National Park and Snoqualmie Falls are all day-trip range, and each one lives or dies on the driver-guide. In town, Pike Place food tours, underground history walks and harbour cruises dominate. Our ranking favours operators with small vans over full coaches on the mountain runs. On Outty we rank every Seattle experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mt. Rainier Day Tour from Seattle, Seattle City and Snoqualmie Falls Half-Day Guided Tour, Pike Place Market Tasting Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Seattle?

    +

June to September for clear Rainier views and reliable ferry weather. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Seattle?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
