Highly recommend! Alper is very knowledgeable!
Alper showed us an amazing time in Ephesus. We highly recommend the tour. We got to see the best spots and Alper history of everything was wonderful. He picked an amazing lunch spot and I may or may not have left with a magic carpet. Highly recommend. Traveled with family of 4, kids 12 and 10
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you and your family had such a great time exploring Ephesus with Alper. It was a pleasure to host your family, and we hope to welcome you back to Turkey again in the future!

Want to Buy a Rug?
My wife rated this as a 4/5 and I rated it as a 3/5, but I am grumpier than she is. The van that we were picked up in was nice and our tour guide, Ali, was on time. We headed from the port, which is flanked by stores selling fake Rolexes and Louis Vuitton bags, straight to Ephesus. Before we were five minutes into the ride, we had to be very firm with our guide that we were absolutely not interested in going to see rugs being made or to a pottery shop. They essentially bring you to these places to hard sell you into buying rugs or pottery. No thanks. The ruins at Ephesus were cool and Ali knew a lot of the history of the ancient city. Make sure to wear sunscreen because there is very little shade. It was very crowded. Also make sure to note that admission to the ruins and terrace houses is not included in your tour fee. Entrance was 40 euros per person and another 15 per person for the terrace houses. When we finished at Ephesus, we went to the Basilica of St. John and there was another nominal admission fee. We spent about 30 minutes and headed back toward the port. Ali seemed annoyed that we didn’t want to have lunch at his suggested restaurant, where I’m sure he earns a commission. All in all, the tour part of it was good. Just be prepared to be enticed to do things like buy rugs, pottery, or eat at their (not your) preferred restaurant. Telling us that he was taking us to see rug making five minutes into the tour turned me off, and that is the reason for the kind of harsh review. I wouldn’t do it again, period.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the visit to Ephesus and appreciated Ali's knowledge and professionalism. We are sorry that some aspects of the experience did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that the entrance fees are clearly stated as not included in the tour price, and the ticket prices are determined by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. For this reason, all guests purchase their tickets directly at the entrance. Regarding the optional stops, our guides may suggest local workshops or restaurants as part of the cultural experience. However, these visits are entirely optional, and there is absolutely no obligation or pressure to purchase anything. Likewise, guests are always free to choose where they would like to have lunch. We appreciate your honest comments, as they help us improve our services. Thank you again for traveling with us, and we wish you all the best in your future travels.

Outstanding private guide for Ephesus, Virgin Mary House, and Artemis.
We weren't sure what to expect when we booked this private tour (our first time trying one). Wow were we pleasantly surprised at just how great it would be! Feliz and her driver picked us up at the cruise ship port in a comfortable Mercedes air-conditioned van and drove us on a well-planned route to see the Virgin Mary House, followed by Ephesus, and finally the temple of Artemis. Feliz's expertise was obvious right away as she timed our itinerary to avoid the largest crowds. She gave us a very informative tour of each location - paced perfectly to our desires (not too fast, not too slow). She told us a lot of interesting things about each site and answered all of our questions. And, because she lives in the area, she also talked about what life is like in this part of the country which was a huge bonus over the normal large, canned tours. After all our site visits were complete, we ended our tour at a wonderful local restaurant where Feliz helped us select authentic local Turkish food that was delicious across the board. What a day! We highly recommend the private tour option . And ask for Feliz - she is absolutely wonderful.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We are delighted that your first private tour exceeded expectations. I will gladly pass your kind words to Filiz and her driver. It is fantastic to hear that you enjoyed her expertise, the crowd-free itinerary, and the delicious local Turkish food. Thank you for highly recommending our services, and we hope to welcome you back again in the future! Best regards

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Best of Ephesus Private Tour For Cruise Travelers: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kusadasi.
How much does Best of Ephesus Private Tour For Cruise Travelers cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kusadasi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Best of Ephesus Private Tour For Cruise Travelers take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kusadasi is not rushed.
Is Best of Ephesus Private Tour For Cruise Travelers worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 33 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kusadasi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Best of Ephesus Private Tour For Cruise Travelers?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Best of Ephesus Private Tour For Cruise Travelers suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Best of Ephesus Private Tour For Cruise Travelers?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kusadasi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kusadasi and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Best of Ephesus Private Tour For Cruise Travelers start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kusadasi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kusadasi?
+
On Outty we rank every Kusadasi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include FOR CRUISERS: Ephesus & Virgin Mary Tour with ENTRY TICKET+LUNCH, Ephesus Temple of Artemis and House of Mary Private Half Day Tour, Ephesus and Temple of Artemis Private Tour from Kusadasi Port. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kusadasi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kusadasi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
