When choosing to see Death Valley there are many companies offering similar tours. We separate ourselves with expert level park knowledge and two owner operators that offer more than just a van ride through a national park. Depending on our guests wants and needs we will custom tailor these tours to our groups. We never skip the high points or the lows. You will without a doubt want to see Dante's View(often skipped by many operators) for its Grand Canyon National Park like distances as well as Artist's Palette and Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes. Semi-Private is noted as we take a maximum of 7 guests and there are only two of us in the company. You will always get the best. Food is included on this tour. We will stop at a restaurant in Death Valley for either a sit down lunch or a breakfast buffet depending on the season. You do not need to bring food unless you have specific dietary requirements that may not be available at regular food establishments.

Mojave Wave are the best for tours of Death Valley

Wow, where do we start… Brian, the owner of Mojave Wave picked us up from our hotel in Las Vegas and we joined 2 other tourists on an incredible journey into Death Valley. From the history of the area to the awesome incredible views Brian took us to, we were lucky beyond words. We had a wonderful breakfast brunch, kept supplied with cold water throughout the more than 12 hour trip and received lots of recommendations for other trips on our vacation. Seriously don’t miss this outstanding journey into Death Valley. If you use another operator you WILL miss out. Mojave Wave is THE BEST tour operator / tour guide for a visit to Death Valley. Highly recommended. Thanks Brian. We had a blast.

    Book This Tour!

Having never been to Death Valley before, I booked this tour expecting to just hit the highlights. What we got was so much more. Though we were the only two people to have booked, Brian, our tour guide, contacted us the night before to confirm our pick-up location, and arrived promptly at 3:30 am to set out on our adventure. Brian has an encyclopedic knowledge of the area, from the history of the pioneers to every animal, rock, tree, road, ghost town, and mountain in the area. He made suggestions of various interesting sights we might like to see and tailored the tour to our responses. We were never rushed and enjoyed ample time at each stop along the way. It ended up being simply unforgettable. We got to see things we never even thought about getting to see. Restroom/souvenir/ food stops (including a delicious breakfast buffet) were numerous. Thank you, Brian, for your endless patience, humor, and willingness to drive us on the adventure of a lifetime. We're looking forward to booking with Mojave Wave LLC again next time!

    Fun and informative tour!

Brian is great! Super nice, knowledgeable, and fun guy! He knows Death Valley and the nearby areas inside and out. I love the history, stories, and geologic background he tells during the drive. We had plenty of restroom breaks and food stops along the way. The car was very comfortable and there were cold water bottles available during the trip. I really appreciate that Brian goes above and beyond for his clients. We went to a lot of extra places and had so much fun. I highly recommend this tour!

Best of Death Valley Small Group Day Tour from Las Vegas: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Las Vegas.

How much does Best of Death Valley Small Group Day Tour from Las Vegas cost?

    +

Prices start at $175 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Las Vegas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Best of Death Valley Small Group Day Tour from Las Vegas take?

    +

Plan for about 11 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Las Vegas is not rushed.

Is Best of Death Valley Small Group Day Tour from Las Vegas worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 91 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 744 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Las Vegas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule Best of Death Valley Small Group Day Tour from Las Vegas?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Best of Death Valley Small Group Day Tour from Las Vegas suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 11-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Best of Death Valley Small Group Day Tour from Las Vegas?

    +

Around 260 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Las Vegas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Las Vegas and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Best of Death Valley Small Group Day Tour from Las Vegas start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Las Vegas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Las Vegas?

    +

Las Vegas sells two trips at once: the Strip after dark, and the red-rock desert that starts twenty minutes past the last casino. Helicopter runs to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam half-days and Red Rock Canyon drives all leave early, while show tickets, speakeasy crawls and high-roller dining fill the evening. Outty Ranking weighs operator reliability heavily here, because the gap between a well-run desert tour and a coach-and-queue version is enormous. On Outty we rank every Las Vegas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small Group: Valley of Fire Half Day Tour from Las Vegas, Small Group Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, 7 Magic Mountains VIP Tour, Grand Canyon West, Hoover Dam Stop, Breakfast, Lunch & Skywalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Las Vegas?

    +

October to April. Summer highs above 105F make midday outdoor tours punishing. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Las Vegas?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Best of Death Valley Small Group Day Tour from Las Vegas?

    +

Included: Bottled water; All Fees and Taxes; and Breakfast. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Does Best of Death Valley Small Group Day Tour from Las Vegas include hotel pickup?

    +

Yes, pickup is offered for every traveler from 164 listed pickup locations in and around Las Vegas. You can also enter a custom pickup address when booking.

What languages is Best of Death Valley Small Group Day Tour from Las Vegas offered in?

    +

It runs in English. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Best of Death Valley Small Group Day Tour from Las Vegas?

    +

Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.

Is Best of Death Valley Small Group Day Tour from Las Vegas wheelchair or stroller accessible?

    +

The operator notes: Not recommended for pregnant travelers. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.
