Broken Beach and Angel’s Billabong
The journey to Broken Beach is an overland adventure through Nusa Penida’s rugged limestone terrain. Most of the pathways are rocky and unpaved. The majority of people rent a motorbike to reach Broken Beach. It will take around two hours to reach this corner from the main harbour area in Nusa Penida’s north-western tip. Once you get to Broken Beach, you’ll be rewarded by a truly sweeping seascape. You can combine your trip to Broken Beach to see more unique coastal features, such as the beautiful Angel's Billabong. There are local vendors selling drinks and light refreshments. Some sell beer, so you can sit back on a cliff edge with a cold one to take in the view.

Angel's Billabong
Angel's Billabong located nearby Pasih Uug (Broken Beach), another popular site with unique limestone formations. The naturally formed rock lagoon offers a scenic seascape. You can descend into its crystal-clear rock pools for a swim or a soak, but only during low tide. The rock pools are one of the must-sees for visitors to Nusa Penida. The island itself is famous for its beautiful cliffs and pristine coastlines. Both Angel's Billabong and Broken Beach are very popular sites here. However, you’ll most likely have this amazing natural infinity pool all to yourself on your visit. It’s a good idea to explore Broken Beach first nearby. Take in the splendour of its natural limestone arches over the blue waters. Then, head off to take a dip and perhaps a swim in the natural pools of Angel’s Billabong.

Kelingking Beach
In Kelingking Beach you can enjoy the sweeping views from a purpose-built platform, which is bordered by bamboo fences. If you dare the challenging trek down to the beach, make sure it’s during low tide. Some sections of the path can be steep, requiring a bit of rock climbing, especially on the way back up. Locals have put rocks and bamboos to aid visitors over the years. Once you’ve reached the sand, you’ll have it all to yourself most of the time. Depending on tide conditions, the waters are swimmable. However, note that the undercurrents can be strong, and being the remote site that it is, there are no lifeguards around. Besides your camera and a good pair of shoes, be sure to bring drinking water with you on the descent, to keep you hydrated. You can combine your visit to Kelingking Beach with a visit to an interesting temple nearby. Pura Paluang Temple is a couple of minutes’ ride east by motorbike, and features shrines in the shape of cars!

Crystal Bay
Crystal Bay is quite accessible thanks to well-developed roads, besides its beautiful palm-fringed beach, the bay is best known as one of Nusa Penida’s famous snorkelling and dive sites. Near the shore, the waves are swimmable during calmer tides with crystal-clear waters, hence its name. Divers praise the superb visibility, sometimes down to 30 metres. Crystal Bay is a short drive west from the Coco Resort Penida. This is one of the a very few resorts on the island’s western region. Down at the dark sand beach, you may find a couple of parasol-shaded sunbeds available for rent from locals.

Good island experience
Exactly as it says, going to Instagram spots. Raya was our driver from the hotel in Ubud and he was great. Helped us find our boat and picked us up on time at the end of the day. Private driver found us getting off the boat at the island. Roads are pretty bad so if you don’t like bumpy rides maybe stick closer to the port. We snorkeled and hit 4 spots in around an hour and a half. Saw manta rays so it was worth it.

Nusa penida tour
We had and amazing trip to Nusa penida island Thanks to Bali Tours! NO hassle at all. Everything was well organized and happened smoothly. Widi and Putu were our guides. Widi drove us safely to and from sanur port. He was such a nice and cheerful guy. Putu was our guide at the island. He gave us a comfortable ride and lead us to all attractions out there. He was very friendly and cooperative. Would highly recommend them to couple travelers like us for a beautiful island experience.
