This tour with a 2 pm start is simply not feasible. Do not choose it.
The day before this tour, I had visited Tanah Lot. I had already noticed that traffic was a major issue in the area. This is because the roads are very narrow, there are many cars heading to tourist spots, and countless scooters. Everyone knows this. Tourists who stay in the area for more than a couple of days know it, and locals experience it every day. This particular tour was a half-day tour starting at 2 pm. The driver who picked me up told me that it was a mistake to book a tour starting at 2, as we wouldn’t have time for almost anything. I told him that I didn’t choose the time. The description stated that a 2 pm start would allow you to visit beaches on the way to Uluwatu, see the Uluwatu Temple, and watch the Kecak Dance show. If the tour had started at 10 am or 12 pm, that would have been true. But with a 2 pm start, everything felt rushed, stressful, and far from enjoyable. We began the journey, and after about 2.5 hours, we stopped at a place to try the unique Luwak coffee — just 10 minutes in total. Then we went to Padang Padang Beach, where we stayed for only 15 minutes. I paid the entrance fee and, rushing, managed to walk a bit on the beach and take a few photos. We left and arrived at Uluwatu around 5:10–5:20 pm. Luckily, I managed to get a ticket for the Kecak Dance show as it wasn’t too crowded. I rushed up to the temple viewpoint to see the view and take some photos, then went back down to explore a few more spots in the park for a short time. Once the sun set and I captured some photos of the beautiful scenery, I entered the area where the show was taking place. I watched the performance, and then the return journey took another 3 hours due to traffic. If the exact same tour had started 2–3 hours earlier, it would have been much more enjoyable. You could have taken your time with the Luwak coffee, relaxed at the beach, and even gone for a swim — I had brought a swimsuit, but there simply wasn’t time. At the temple, you could have explored at a normal pace instead of constantly rushing. Of course, the traffic on the way back is unavoidable. So, for this tour: If the starting time is 10–12 in the morning, it’s fine. If it follows a schedule like mine with a 2 pm start, then it’s a definite no from me. It’s better to look for another option for this route. I didn’t give it one star because the driver clearly understood that the schedule he was given was problematic and did his best to make the most of it — something that, unfortunately, wasn’t really possible due to the limited time.
Response from the operator: ❤️ Thank you for your detailed feedback — we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We’re glad to see that all the main highlights of the tour were completed, including the coffee stop, Padang Padang Beach, Uluwatu Temple, and the Kecak Dance performance at sunset — which is the key focus of this experience. This tour is designed as a **half-day afternoon experience **, specifically planned to reach Uluwatu in time for sunset and the show. As with most afternoon tours in South Bali, the schedule can be more dynamic due to traffic conditions, which are unfortunately beyond our control. As part of our service, we proactively contact all guests before the tour via **email and WhatsApp** to offer **complimentary trip planning and schedule optimization** based on their hotel location and preferences. This often includes recommending the most suitable departure time, adjusting the route where possible, and suggesting additional stops such as photo spots or short visits along the way. In this case, we did not receive a response to our pre-tour messages, which limited our ability to coordinate timing adjustments or personalize the experience in advance. For guests who prefer a more relaxed pace with longer beach time or swimming, we typically recommend either an earlier start or a full-day option — and we are always happy to help plan this in advance. We’re pleased that you were still able to experience the key highlights, including the sunset and the performance. Thank you again for your feedback — it helps future travelers choose the experience that best fits their expectations. Bali beach and Uluwatu Temple tour
Private tour with good English speaking driver. He was very informative and modified things to suit our needs. Would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for a driver to help them get around Bali.

The Kecak dance was definitely the highlight of the experience — well-performed and culturally rich. However, the rest of the day fell short of expectations. The beaches were underwhelming and didn’t offer anything particularly unique. Our driver mainly just transported us from place to place and didn’t provide much insight or guidance, which would’ve added value. He also didn’t came across as overly friendly, which affected the overall vibe of the tour. A major downside was the long wait — over two hours — just to get into the Kecak show. It would’ve been much smoother if tickets were available for online purchase or through the tour operator in advance. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t feel well-organized or engaging beyond the dance performance.
Response from the operator: ❤️ Thank you for your time my friend! Unfortunately I cant identify you as our guest. Please provide your booking number, so we can assist you if you are our guest and not a competitor. Satisfaction of dear guests is our priority N.1 This is why we do contact all our guests in advance and give personal recommendations and FREE tour planning (how spend less on roads and visit more sights at the same time). The tour does include Dance show. If you don't know about this do you really booked the tour? Anyway thank you for your time and we always happy to provide Interesting tours to famous locations (as well as no very famous :) in Bali, Nusa Penida and Lombok at very affordable price. We hope to see you in future to provide you tour to a beautiful Bali locations and famous Instagram spots. Best regards, Customer Support Team 🙏

Good trip, glad I booked
Really lovely trip. Got to see some of south Bali best beaches in Padang Padang and Melasti and also enjoyed going to see uluwatu temple too. Driver was amenable to time frames I gave him. If you have mobility issues you will struggle to get down to Padang Padang- steep steps. Beach’s get busy so go early

Our tour guide, Putu, was...
Our tour guide, Putu, was wonderful. He really explained a lot about the culture in Bali. We decided to go to the morning dance, which I think was the right decision given there was a lot of traffic leaving Uluwata temple to Canggu. I do feel like we did not get the opportunity to see as many beaches as I would have liked, in hindsight I would have chosen to see more beaches in the morning rather than choosing to do water activities and turtle island at Nusa Dua. Turtle island at Nusa Dua was very disappointing and the condition they kept the animals in was sad, the cages and the push to pay for everything felt aggressive. There was a parquet on the tiniest chain ever and it was depressing. The idea of contributing more money to it was not worth it. I know this is not the travel agencies fault whatsoever, we are mostly looking to give feedback on to them. For what it is worth, all the stuff organized by the company and our driver was wonderful. Putu was wonderful and I honestly feel like we asked too much of him, that being said he was great and really helped us understand the culture of Bali and the history.

+

How far in advance should I book Best Bali Beaches - Uluwatu Temple - FREE Wi-Fi?
+
Around 25 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jimbaran can sell out a month out. What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jimbaran and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Jimbaran?
+
On Outty we rank every Jimbaran experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Discover The Best of Ubud: All-Inclusive and Private Guided Tour, Ubud: Monkey Forest, Jungle Swing, Rice Terrace and Water Temple, Best of Ubud Private and All-Inclusive 1-Day Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Jimbaran?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Jimbaran?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
