Afterwards, we will head uptown to Kolonaki, where elite fashion and couture shops meet with beautiful sidewalk cafes. Later, we will go downtown to the vibrant fish and meat market, before we head to Monastiraki Square. The Perfect Private Tour in Athens – Flawless Organization & Invaluable Expertise! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our private shore excursion in Athens was an absolute highlight, and we cannot recommend this team highly enough. From the very start, the communication and logistics were flawless. There was no waiting around at the port—our tour leader and driver, Nancy, and expert guide Theodore were already waiting for us right outside the terminal with a large, clear sign showing our name. An Incredible Tour Leader Nancy was fantastic. She spoke fluent English, was extremely friendly, and immediately asked us what we wanted to see. She then competently structured our itinerary around our exact preferences. Thanks to her planning, we visited everything on our list. What we appreciated most was how she kept us smoothly on schedule while constantly reassuring us that we would be back well before our ship's "all aboard" time. She had a great sense of humour and gave us wonderful insights into local Greek culture. Expert Archaeological Guiding Theodore, was our expert guide. Having an actual archaeologist guide us made a world of difference. His in-depth knowledge of Ancient Greece and modern Greece was profound, and he was incredibly passionate about sharing it. He was also extremely caring ensuring our safety walking on difficult terrains. Relaxed and Flexible Despite hitting all the major sights and staying on time, we never felt rushed. The pace was entirely up to us, allowing us to truly absorb the history and take plenty of photos. Memorable day with Markos!!!
Unforgettable! We had a fantastic day with Markos. It was such an amazing experience to have a tour with a native Athenian :) He was so knowledgeable, kind, patient, and engaging. We enjoyed learning all about Athens' history and notable landmarks from the comfort of Markos' clean, air conditioned vehicle and then having ample time to explore each location he taught us about...especially the incredible Acropolis Hill!!! Markos then took us to an wonderful, local Greek restaurant, where we enjoyed a delicious meal. It was such a fun, memorable day. 10/10! Thank you SO, SO much Markos!!!

Private Athens tour with Nancy
Our guide, Nancy, met us at the cruise ship terminal and made it very easy for us. She was on time and had a sign with our name. She took us immediately to the Acropolis and the museum, so we missed the big crowds. Then she showed us all of the city highlights, including the local market and a local restaurant. Nancy was interested in making sure we got the exact experience we wanted. I highly recommend Nancy’s private tour in her spacious, comfortable van.
