Outstanding!
Wonderful tour with Stephen. My parents and I had a great trip exploring the lowlands area with Stephen. He was extremely courteous and polite. He also had tons of information about Scotland and answered all our questions about the history of Scotland. This day with Stephen was the highlight of our entire trip and I would book with him the next time we are up there!
Response from the operator: Thanks Alexis_M for your custom and taking the time to write a review of my experience. It was fun for me to escort you and yours around Southern Scotland and find some family links, as discussed on tour this is why I offer bespoke experiences to enable my guests to get the most out of there tour with me. I look forward to welcoming you back to Scotland on the future. Regards, Stephen.

A FABULOUS DAY
Our family spent a day with Stephen seeing St Andrews and surrounding areas. He and I communicated beforehand to discuss what we'd most like to see. He was incredibly accommodating, a pleasure to be with and super knowledgable. I will recommend his services to everyone I know as it was a wonderful highlight of our trip. HIGHLY recommend!!!
Response from the operator: Thank you Meredith for leaving a review of your day tour with Eidyn Tours. We were lucky to escape to the cooler climate of Scotland's Secret Bunker on the warmest day of 2022 and thanks to your good eyes we spotted some dolphins off Ruby Bay. I look forward to welcoming you and yours back to Scotland in the near future. Regards, Stephen.

Fantastic guide
He was an excellent tour guide. Very thorough and knowledgable. Prior to the trip he reached out and we decided on what we would like to see...and more importantly what to skip. We are not a huge fan of breweries or castles and instead wanted to see more unique areas of Scotland. I would highly recommend him for anyone traveling to Scotland to see and partake in this beautiful country. He made the journey memorable and catered to our tastes and needs.
Response from the operator: Thank you xiphoid76 for your review of Eidyn Tours. We achieved two very different day tours of Scotland and I hope you got the most out of your private touring. I look forward to welcoming you back to Scotland in the near future. Regards, Stephen.

Best way to see Scotland
We had a lovely one-day trip. The van was clean and comfortable. We saw the beautiful country, Stirling Castle, Doune Castle, Forth Bridge Viewpoint and much more. A perfect way to explore Scotland. A great guide and perfect driver. Thanks Stephen!
Response from the operator: Thank you Ulrika for leaving a review of your day tour with Eidyn Tours. After discussion we finalised a plan and travelled the 'Mini Highlands' of Stirlingshire to give you a taster of the Highlands without the extended drive time. I look forward to welcoming you back to Scotland in the near future. Regards, Stephen.

See Scotland the best way
Our private tour with Stephen was phenomenal from the planning to the execution. Stephen was responsive and easy to communicate with throughout our trip. We had a long list of sites to visit inspired by history, TV, books and friends, which he provided feedback on and helped us plan a packed 2 day trip. His coach was very comfortable and he had thought of all the niceties like bottled water and made stops whenever we requested. He also allowed us to be flexible and change the itinerary as needed due to new ideas, sites along the way or the weather changing. We saw the beautiful highland country, Inverness, Culloden, had a yummy whisky tasting, a breathtaking hike to waterfalls and visited more sites than we had originally planned. Stephen was incredibly friendly, patient, knowledgeable and capable. Highly recommended!
Response from the operator: Thank you Claire for your review of our two day trip earlier this year and for posting such fantastic pictures. It was great to tour with you and your partner. To create your bespoke tour took some fun email and text conversations, enabling us to finalise an itinerary and show you what you wanted to see in Scotland. I look forward to greeting you to Scotland in the future. Regards, Stephen.

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Bespoke Itinerary Planning from an Experienced Tour Guide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Edinburgh.
How much does Bespoke Itinerary Planning from an Experienced Tour Guide cost?
+
Prices start at $68 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Edinburgh usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bespoke Itinerary Planning from an Experienced Tour Guide take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Edinburgh is not rushed.
Is Bespoke Itinerary Planning from an Experienced Tour Guide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Edinburgh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bespoke Itinerary Planning from an Experienced Tour Guide?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bespoke Itinerary Planning from an Experienced Tour Guide suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bespoke Itinerary Planning from an Experienced Tour Guide?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Edinburgh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Edinburgh and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bespoke Itinerary Planning from an Experienced Tour Guide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Edinburgh within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Edinburgh?
+
On Outty we rank every Edinburgh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Chocolatarium Chocolate Tour Experience in Edinburgh, The Mountebank Comedy Walk of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Old Town: Historical Guided Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Edinburgh?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Edinburgh?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Bespoke Itinerary Planning from an Experienced Tour Guide?
+
Included: Bespoke Itinerary Planning for your trip to Scotland and UK. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

+

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Bespoke Itinerary Planning from an Experienced Tour Guide?
+
Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.
