Beautiful cruise interrupted by a storm

I booked this for me and my girlfriend to experience a more intimate and romantic cruise through the famous Amsterdam canals. They were very accommodating and even sourced some gluten free beers for me and played a Serbian playlist for my girlfriend. What we saw was amazing but unfortunately maybe 10 minutes into the tour a massive thunderstorm passed over so we spent maybe 20 minutes under a bridge sheltering from the storm. I am not one to leave a bad review over weather that can't be controlled by the provider but I also can't give this a 5 star as we didn't get to see as much as I had hoped. Still a memorable experience and highly recommend. Hopefully you will have better luck than us!

    Better is not imaginable

Robertino and Karl gave us a very friendly welcome. The boat is charming and glided silently through the canals with its electric motor, and because the boat is small, it could also sail through the small canals in the old town that are taboo for the big boats. The explanations about Amsterdam and the personal conversations were charming and we felt very comfortable. We can highly recommend the Boat Boys to anyone who wants to take a canal trip in a very personal way.

Response from the operator: Thanks a lot for this great review - and even better to hear that you enjoyed the small boat and its advantages cruising through the smallest canals of Amsterdam! We hope to welcome you another time on board - all the best from us :)

Second time as good as the first

Amsterdam is best seen by boat and the boat in question is wonderful. Cozy, warm, and with a great captain. We chatted with him while enjoying the city and he was very personable and knowledgable. My wife and I enjoyed it very much and it was our second time with the company!

Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing us again for your 2nd private canal cruise in Amsterdam. We will pass your compliments to our captain and we are more then pleased to hear that you had a wonderful time on board of our private boat Undine. We keep upgrading and maintaining the boat throughout the whole year to provide an outstanding customer experience on board. Thank you again and have a lovely day!

    Romantic cruise through the canals

My wife and I did this cruise to celebrate our one-year wedding anniversary. The cruise was very intimate and relaxing and the perfect way to tour the canals. We loved our captain, he gave us great information about the city and he made our experience the highlight of our trip to Amsterdam.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your feedback. It is great to read that you have enjoyed the anniversary celebration on our privat boat Undine. Wishing you all the best from Amsterdam!

Bespoke Amsterdam Private Open Boat Cruise: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.

How much does Bespoke Amsterdam Private Open Boat Cruise cost?

    +

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bespoke Amsterdam Private Open Boat Cruise take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.

Is Bespoke Amsterdam Private Open Boat Cruise worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 35 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bespoke Amsterdam Private Open Boat Cruise?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bespoke Amsterdam Private Open Boat Cruise suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bespoke Amsterdam Private Open Boat Cruise?

    +

Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bespoke Amsterdam Private Open Boat Cruise start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?

    +

On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Amsterdam?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
