Amazing tour with Ketat!!!
Our guided tour with Ketat was wonderful! 10/10 would recommend his service for visiting Penglipuran Village, Kehen Temple, Besikah Temple, and Tukad Cepung. It was an amazing tour Ketat provided, he was very knowledgeable and excited to share it with us. Ketat was great at communication, texting to confirm everything the night prior, and he was early to pick us up, but didn’t make us rush, Ketat was also always delighted to talk and show us hidden spots! He was also very handy with a camera and knew all the best spots to grab that perfect picture. Furthermore he was a dedicated safe driver and tour guide, often telling us where it was slippery and pointing our hazards so we wouldn’t fall. He also gave us cold water, and we stopped for a small snack in Penglipuran at the Bamboo cafe which was delightful, and later at an astounding buffet lunch at Lereng Agung Restaurant which had breathtaking views of Agung the volcano and rice fields below. Overall, my friend and I had the best time with Ketat and asked him a million questions which he answered with passion for his culture and people. Would highly recommend to all who are interested!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing day exploring East Bali with an incredible driver!
We had an absolutely fantastic day exploring East Bali with our driver, Ketut. From the moment he picked us up, he was friendly, punctual, knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable throughout the entire tour. He drove safely, shared interesting information about Balinese culture, and never rushed us at any of the stops. Our itinerary included Penglipuran Village, the beautiful Bamboo Forest, Kehen Temple, Besakih Temple, and Tukad Cepung Waterfall. On top of that, Ketut also took us to Goa Raja Waterfall, which ended up being one of the highlights of our entire Bali trip. It was absolutely stunning, peaceful, and far less crowded than we expected. Every stop was unique and gave us a great insight into Bali's culture, history, and natural beauty. Ketut was also happy to take photos for us and made sure we had plenty of time to enjoy each location. If you're looking for a full-day tour that combines incredible temples, beautiful scenery, and hidden waterfalls with an outstanding local driver, we couldn't recommend this tour and Ketut highly enough. Thank you for helping make our Bali holiday so memorable!

Best Bali Culture Tour!!!
This was the most peaceful day of experiencing the TRUE balinese culture. Not the hyped up tourist version, but actual balinese way of living. Our driver Ketut was so knowledgeable of the areas we visited. He was attentive, guiding us through the temples and explaining what everything meant. It was a day of variety...temples, bamboo forest, waterfall swim, lunch overlooking rice paddy fields and Mt Agung. Highly highly recommend. We would absolutely book with Ketut again.

Why this scores 79
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Besakih Temple & Penglipuran Traditional Village Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ubud.
How much does Besakih Temple & Penglipuran Traditional Village Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $52 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Besakih Temple & Penglipuran Traditional Village Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.
Is Besakih Temple & Penglipuran Traditional Village Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 62 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Besakih Temple & Penglipuran Traditional Village Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Besakih Temple & Penglipuran Traditional Village Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Besakih Temple & Penglipuran Traditional Village Private Tour?
+
Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Besakih Temple & Penglipuran Traditional Village Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ubud?
+
On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ubud?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ubud?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
