I will not use VIATUR ever again
My experience with VIATUR was horrible, they changed the schedule of my tour to a date that I could not make it, as I had something else scheduled, in spite of that and after several phone calls they were not willing to refund the cost of the tour.
Response from the operator: We are very sorry to hear about your experience. We understand how frustrating it can be. However we would like to clarify that we always propose more altenatives and un upgrade in case of last-minutes issues or a refund for the difference in case of downgrade. We regret that this situation caused you such inconvenience. We always do our best to assist our guests and hope you may have the opportunity to experience one of our tours under better circumstances. Serena

A Fabulous Day Trip
This day trip was fabulous & I highly recommend it to anyone considering trying to do the 3 options in it. Great scenic trip to Lake Como & boat trip around the lake. The Bernina train trip from Tarino was spectacular up over the Alps to St Moritz which is definitely a place like no other. We had a really good guide & the trip was really well run.

The Best of Two Countries in One Day! Highly Recommend + Tips
This tour is very eventful for sightseeing enthusiasts. Very few tours feature a Lake Como cruise and a visit to the Swiss Alps together, allowing you to experience the best of two countries in one day (make sure to book the correct ticket type, as options vary). Our tour guide, Mr. Andrea, was excellent, friendly, and charismatic. He provided great historical, geographical, and practical facts during every part of the trip. Helpful Tips Finding the meeting point: We had trouble finding the pickup location, but when we called them, they responded quickly and guided us right to it. Do not stress if you need help. Bus seating: Sit on the right side of the coach for the best angles to view Lake Como and other landmarks. The cruise & breaks: The boat cruise was beautiful with no issues, and restroom breaks were well-timed throughout the day. The Swiss Alps & Red Train: The journey to St. Moritz as you climb in altitude is breathtaking, and the red train views are spectacular. The tour reserves a carriage, so you can freely roam and take pictures from both sides.Train snacks: Remember to bring snacks or food for the train ride. Minor Downsides Limited time in St. Moritz: We wished we had more free time in the city, as we only had about 20 minutes to look around and buy or eat something. Summary: This is an ideal one-day tour combining Milan and Switzerland, and I highly recommend it if you are visiting Milan for a short stay.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this detailed and thoughtful review! We are delighted that you enjoyed this eventful journey through two countries in one day, from the beauty of Lake Como to the spectacular Swiss Alps and the Red Train experience. We are especially happy to hear your kind words about the guide, the enthusiasm, knowledge and friendly approach which are exactly what we hope our guests experience throughout the day. Thank you also for sharing such useful tips for future We truly hope to welcome you again on another journey from Milan! Serena

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Bernina Red Train And St Moritz Tour from Milan: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Milan.
How much does Bernina Red Train And St Moritz Tour from Milan cost?
+
Prices start at $176 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Milan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bernina Red Train And St Moritz Tour from Milan take?
+
Plan for about 13 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Milan is not rushed.
Is Bernina Red Train And St Moritz Tour from Milan worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 315 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Milan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bernina Red Train And St Moritz Tour from Milan?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bernina Red Train And St Moritz Tour from Milan suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 13-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bernina Red Train And St Moritz Tour from Milan?
+
Around 110 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Milan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Milan and add a light layer if any part of the 13-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bernina Red Train And St Moritz Tour from Milan start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Milan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Milan?
+
On Outty we rank every Milan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gnocchi, Pasta, Tiramisù and Wine Class, Authentic Pasta & Tiramisu Cooking Class in Milan, Milan's Hidden Gems: Unique Bike Tour (ENG, NL). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Milan?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Milan?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
