With this tour we will go back in time, visiting places you never imagined, to understand how what we know as Nazism emerged and the details of Hitler's rise to power. How did he do it? What was your speech? What were your main obsessions? We will learn about the ability of Nazi propaganda in national and ideological construction. We will be able to see the German Parliament, the former Reichstag, where we will narrate what happened in its arson. We will talk about some of the main people responsible for Nazism, the power structures and urban plans, what the first purges were like, as well as the concentration and extermination camps that were developed. We will end the tour with the fall of the Führer and the place where his life ended. We will analyze stories about the Nazi apparatus: the Gestapo and the SS. We will explore what Berlin suffered and experienced throughout these 12 years.

The ruined building was protected from the elements and partially renovated in the 1960s, but no attempt at full restoration was made until after German reunification on 3 October 1990, when it underwent a reconstruction led by architect Norman Foster. After its completion in 1999, it once again became the meeting place of the German parliament: the modern Bundestag.

Essential tour
Absolutely recommended! We did the Nazi Berlin tour with Juan Manuel and it was a fantastic experience and, without a doubt, the best tour we have done in Berlin. Juanma is an extraordinary guide. What we liked most is that he doesn't just explain dates, names, and events: he manages to build the entire historical, political, economic, and social context necessary to understand how Germany could reach Nazism. And that completely changes the visit. You end up understanding one of the most complex and terrible periods of European history much better. Throughout the entire tour, he kept relating the places we were visiting to what was happening in Germany at each moment, explaining it in a very clear, rigorous, and at the same time very enjoyable way. It is very noticeable that he masters the subject, but also that he is passionate about it and enjoys sharing it. In addition, he gave us quite a bit more time than planned, without any rush to finish, expanding on explanations and answering all our questions. He is one of those guides who makes four hours fly by and who makes you keep thinking and talking about many of the things he told you after the tour. For us, it was an exceptional visit. If you go to Berlin and want to learn about this part of its history, but above all understand how and why it could happen, I cannot recommend taking this tour with Juan Manuel more. Thank you so much, Juanma, for such an interesting morning and for sharing your knowledge and your passion with us!
