Let’s Go! We will pick you up at your accommodation then set off through the hustle and bustle of HCMC’s extraordinary streets. Your tour begins as soon as you’re aboard your private transport, our knowledgeable guide will give you some information on Vietnam’s political history, in preparation for the tunnels. Liberated Area After one and half hour drive, we arrive at our first stop – Liberated Area, where you can see life of Viet Cong guerrilla fighters during the most intense time of the war from 1961-1972. Wandering around here, it’s hard to imagine what it was like during the fighting because it’s so peaceful nowadays. Then we keep moving onto the Ben Duoc Tunnels.

Camouflaged Entrances and Bamboo Trap! Upon arriving at Ben Duoc Tunnels, we’ll go through and enter into the old base of the Viet Cong. You will be surrounded by thick forest, shaded by beautiful trees and bamboo. Your tour guide will show you around the location while explaining all about the magnificent, clever tunnels. Prepare to be amazed by the cunning traps and the sheer resourcefulness of the Viet Cong. From camouflaged entrances into the tunnels and bamboo booby traps amongst the forest to the intricate ventilation system, you’ll see it all! Experience The Tunnels For Yourself! Now, it’s your turn to experience them up close! Embrace this amazing experience of dipping underground and exploring the tunnels. The Viet Cong were particularly small and slim so the tunnels were originally so they could just fit in. Nowadays, for educational purposes the tunnels have been widened slightly. Prepare for a snug adventure as you move through them.

Personable and tailored experience
Chris and Tuan arrived before the agreed start time and were welcoming and chatty from the beginning. Very knowledgeable and accommodating. Happy to go at our own pace and answer any questions we had of what we saw. The rice paper making and the rubber plantation were added bonuses to learn more about the area. The tunnels and the liberation area visit were great to see after visiting the War Remnants Museum the day before. The booking process was easy and fast. Communication was great and reassuring. No hassle indeed!

Fantastic and informative half-day tour to the Cu Chi tunnels!
We had a great private tour to the Cu Chi tunnels from Saigon. Our guide Chris was excellent – very friendly and extremely informative. He provided deep insights into the story and made the experience really exciting for both of us. The driver was also very professional and the whole tour was perfectly organised. Highly recommended if you want to gain a deeper understanding of this historic place. Thanks for a great morning!

Cool experience seeing what the tunnel rats had to go through
It was overall pretty great, but felt slightly quicker pace at times. I wanted a little more explanation on the history and background of the war and certain exhibits. I probably could’ve asked more questions, but I feel like a tour guide should automatically give you this information. Our tour guide Chris and the driver Zao were both really nice and Chris did answer any questions when asked.

Great day trip from Saigon. Well worth a visit!
This was a fascinating tour, well worth the extra time on the road compared to the site closer to Saigon. The crowds--at least when we went on a monday afternoon--were minimal, and the exhibits are well done. The engineering behind the tunnel network is impressive, and at Cu Chi, you can really start to get a sense what it was like for combatants. These tunnels haven't been widened to accommodate tourists (at least not as much), and some tunnels are very small (I'm just under six feet and couldn't squeeze into one of them), but this only adds to the experience. Khoa was an excellent guide, and we enjoyed his informative presentation throughout the drive and our time at Cu Chi itself (he also has a great singing voice!). We'd highly recommend him!

Great trip!
As advertised. We had a great trip to the Ben Duoc tunnels with our knowledgable guide Tan. Tan was a complete professional and expertly guided us around the grounds making it feel like we had the tunnels to ourselves. Easy car trip from HCM City. Tan even helped us stop and buy some road side fruit and snacks on the way to and from the tunnels.
