As we go into the West of the city to view some of the more controversial Political Murals. And hear how Northern Ireland is working with locals to create Peace. We will also see a project called re-imaging, which aims to put Street Art or Murals up that the local communities want to share with all that pass by.

Cathedral Quarter
On this 2.5 to 3 hour walk we will discover some of the Modern Street Art, by International Street Artists, Belfast is now becoming known for. As we go into the West of the city to view some of the more controversial Political Murals. And hear how Northern Ireland is working with locals to create Peace. My education to the Troubles
A sense of place, time and the past all build into this conversation (a tour just doesn't feel like the right work). Marti's passion and care for his fellow countryman, the difficulties that they have faced and the slow progress to a peaceful future, introduced me to a deeper understanding of the conflicted history of greater ireland and how it played out in West Belfast. Like all history it is messy murky and written by the victors to provide a justification of the why. To walk through the peace walls and see the barrier and divisions, it shows a side of Belfast (and a history of greater Ireland) that I did not know. Thank you Marti, for your time, care, presence and desire for peace to heal the suffering. John

Marti was briliiant. Patient, fair, informative, balanced and engaging. He has wealth of experience with the peace process over many years, at the community level, working to bring people together for a "shared" island of Ireland. Its a long tour, but you won't notice, because you will get excited and involved - and hear that change is coming.

His knowledge of Irish history and Belfast history is unparalleled. We were the only people on the tour and we explored neighborhoods and places that would otherwise be inaccessible to us.
