Belfast's history
We had a great tour with Jimmy! He picked us up from our hotel and drove us to the Peace Wall and the different murals and told us a lot about their history. Jimmy was very friendly and knowledgeable. At the end of the tour, he dropped us off in the city centre. We learned a lot during the tour. We really enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend Jimmy!

Best Taxi Tour In Belfast
Done the tour today 28/3/26 and had the pleasure of meeting our driver guide Jimmy , I have done a lot of tours around the world and I can say without contradiction that the tour of the peace wall and murals with Jimmy was by far the best I have ever experienced. His knowledge and friendly attitude was a pleasure to experience, my grandson accompanied me on the tour his first time in Belfast and it’s one he won’t forget, Jimmy’s engagement with him was a joy to see , I would highly recommend anyone that takes the taxi tour in Belfast request Jimmy , I can assure you you’ll not regret it. Thank you Jimmy for the tour , as I’ve said best tour guide/ driver ever .

Peacewall Tour of Nationalist and Loyalist side
Great day began with Jimmy the host meeting the four of us at the train station. a small introductory talk before we headed to clonard church and surrounding area which was the focal point of Catholic homes been burnt and the displacement of its residents. POGROM! Onto the memorial gardens and wall murals with great insight by our host. Next to the unionist side to see their murals including one to Arthur Guinness and some stories from that side. they say that bottled guinness with the red hand on the label was the best. I doubt 2 million irish north and south would argue, next onto the shankill road and the site of mass killing during peace talks which nearly sent the north into an abyss. Two years later came the peace agreement. Jimmys knowledge and unbiased views made this a memorable day. We were brought back to Republican History Museum to see some fascinating memorabilia. onto the Mill cafe next door for a bite to eat. we retired to to the local hostelry for some well deserved Guinness. We would highly recommend this tour for the wonderful knowledge of our tour guide and also for the small bit of history that contributed to the troubles in this part of Northen Ireland. Many thanks Jimmy. Nick George Dougie and Corr

The Best Way to Understand Belfast’s History
I did the Peace Wall political tour in Belfast with Jimmy and it was honestly one of the most powerful experiences of my trip. Jimmy was incredibly knowledgeable, but what made the tour stand out was how personal and balanced it felt. He didn’t just give dates and facts — he brought the history of the Troubles to life in a way that felt human, complex and deeply moving. You could tell this wasn’t just information to him, it was lived experience and community memory. Standing at the Peace Wall and hearing the stories behind the murals gave me a much deeper understanding of Belfast’s past and present. The tour never felt sensationalised or one-sided. It was thoughtful, respectful and emotionally intelligent. If you’re visiting Belfast and want to understand the city beyond the surface, I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. It’s not just sightseeing — it’s perspective-shifting.

How far in advance should I book Belfast Peace Wall and Mural Tour?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Belfast can sell out a month out. What are the best things to do in Belfast?
+
On Outty we rank every Belfast experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include A History of Terror - Belfast City Centre Walking Tour, Belfast Black Taxi Tour: Private Journey Through History, Belfast's Political Mural Taxi Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Belfast?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Belfast?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
