Tai Chi w Eric is a great experience!

Our Tai Chi experience at the Temple of Heaven with Eric was perfect! The meet up and communication was very easy. He was so knowledgeable and made the basics of tai chi easy to learn. He incorporated a bit of the history and philosophy as well. The location in the park is very beautiful with several groups of people practicing movements here and there. A great way to spend our first morning in China! Would highly recommend.

Response from the operator: Thank you for the high compliment, wish you understand more about Chinese culutre through Tai Chi , my plesure to guide you to Tai Chi world, keep doing it when you get home, blesses!

🌟 Transformative Tai Chi Experience in Beijing 🌟

We had the privilege of joining a private Tai Chi session during our stay in Beijing — and it was far more than just a physical activity. Guided by an incredibly skilled and insightful master, the class gently unfolded into a lesson in movement, mindfulness, and ancient wisdom. Our teacher’s calm presence, graceful demonstration, and thoughtful guidance allowed us to connect not only with our bodies, but also with the deeper philosophy behind each gesture. He shared profound insights that touched us on an emotional level — reminding us to seek balance, flow with life, and find stillness amidst chaos. It wasn’t just a class. It was a moment of grounding, a rare pause in a fast-paced journey. We walked away with much more than we came for — inner calm, a greater appreciation for Chinese culture, and a sense of serenity we’ll carry with us for a long time. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Beijing who’s open to something authentic, meaningful, and truly unforgettable. 🙏🕊️

Response from the operator: Vow! thanks for the high compliment about my class! My pleasure to guide you do tai chi and hope you understand more about this mythical oriental exercise through the practice. wish you continue it and really benefit from it. Tai Chi will reward you with good health both in physical and mental . good luck to you and your family!

    Unique experience even for beginners

I sent Eric an e-mail to book a beginner level Tai Chi class and he was very responsive. We had a very nice 1 hour experience in the garden of the Temple of Heaven during which we learnt 15 basic beginner moves, thé correct posture and also the philosophy of Tai Chi. Eric inspired us both with the exercises and his detailed explanations, to continue Tai chi classes when we will be back home. Unique experience in the capital of Tai Chi’s home country.

Beijing Private Tai Chi Class: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.

How much does Beijing Private Tai Chi Class cost?

    +

Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Beijing Private Tai Chi Class take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.

Is Beijing Private Tai Chi Class worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Beijing Private Tai Chi Class?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Beijing Private Tai Chi Class suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Beijing Private Tai Chi Class?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Beijing Private Tai Chi Class start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Beijing?

    +

On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Beijing?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Beijing?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
