    Great day at the wall!

Liu Chao(our driver) was great! He was on time and the car was clean. He did not speak English but his translation device worked very well. He swapped our itinerary for mutiyanu as it had suddenly opened after the typhoon and would be less busy than badaling as previously planned. Great idea as we had the walls to ourselves as we got there. Wonderful day with a great driver. Thank you!

    Get this layover toiur

This was the perfect layover tour for me. Naomi , my guide, was very friendly, helpful & she made sure that I get to see the sights I wanted in a reasonable time & still managed to drop be off in time for my next flight. It was a great experience & I’m thankful to Naomi for that. She even gave me a panda bracelet souvenir which I appreciate. Communication from the tour group is also very efficient.

    good chice to layover trip

I dont have to much time in bejing, but i want see so i take a contact this company and book, very fast give a answer. Driver (Liu, i hope i remember fine his name) wait me and pick me up in the airport, he is a good guy with little poor english but use the translate (like in everyone in china), but he really effort so is good point. arrived some so nice luxory bmw so im feel me like a prime-minister. first go to forbidden city, we go to ticket office, buy the ticket and i go inside and he wait me outside the exit so i have 2-3 hours to discover the palace. he give phone if anything hppen just text to him :). its massive size this place so absoluty legday. absoluty stunning place and full with tourists. end of the trip i text the message im in the exit and little walk where he say and pick me up and go to the wall. This translate not the best becouse many time translte wrong and have some misundrstand situation, imegine make this english to chinese, what happen make hungarian to chinese :D little long trip to wall, we little late so need run before closed the place. parking we go to entrace and he say wait me don near the subways and text when i come back. im little idiot becouse go up with walk its appsolutly hard way and long, if smart you rent a exosceletor or go up the cable car. hard i go up its almost 1 hour. when go up (tower 6) the view its stunning. incredible this building, you can walk to tower 22, but i just go to tower 15 its enough for me, the weather is very hot and hard go up to stairs. i late the cable car and bob opening time so dont do same mistake, arrived 16:30 if not you need walk down. i send the message the driver and little wait and pick me up and go back to airport. Poor guy i hope pay overtime the agency becuse we over the time and he work hard and do the best. if not have to much time but you want see bejing and chinese culture its very good option.

    Perfect and Easy

Naomi was a great driver and guide. She picked me up right on time at my hotel and we made our way to the Forbidden City. She clearly told me how much time I would have on my own and where she would pick me up. Pick-up was smooth and we then made our way to the Great Wall. On the way, I had snacks and water provided by her, which were much appreciated. Before we got to the site, she offered to help buying tickets, but I was able to navigate the system on my own. We parked and she escorted me up to the admission gate. Together, we then went on the gondola to the entrance. Once again, she let me know how much time I had and where to meet her. It was easy to find her once I was done. On our way back to the hotel, I found a place on the way renowned for its coffee, and she was more than happy to make a slight detour to accommodate me. Overall, it was an easy and great experience.

Beijing Private Layover Transfer: Great Wall+City Attraction: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.

How much does Beijing Private Layover Transfer: Great Wall+City Attraction cost?

    +

Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Beijing Private Layover Transfer: Great Wall+City Attraction take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.

Is Beijing Private Layover Transfer: Great Wall+City Attraction worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 36 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Beijing Private Layover Transfer: Great Wall+City Attraction?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Beijing Private Layover Transfer: Great Wall+City Attraction suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Beijing Private Layover Transfer: Great Wall+City Attraction?

    +

Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Beijing Private Layover Transfer: Great Wall+City Attraction start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Beijing?

    +

On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Beijing?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Beijing?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
