    Be prepared to queue

The queue to enter the Museum/Square space was 2 hours and 20 mins long. By the time I entered, the Museum had closed to new entrants. Suggest booking morning slots for everything in China.

Response from the operator: Dear Sarah_R, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the disappointment you experienced during your visit to the National Museum of China. As a gesture of goodwill, we’ve already processed a full refund for your ticket, and we hope this helps ease the frustration caused by the long wait and missed entry. We completely understand how disheartening it must have been to queue for over two hours only to find the museum closed to new visitors. While entry reservations are within our control, unfortunately, on-site wait times—especially at major attractions during peak periods—are managed by the venue and can be affected by security checks, crowd levels, and daily capacity limits, all of which are beyond our influence. That said, your advice about booking morning slots is excellent, and we truly appreciate you sharing this insight—it will undoubtedly help other travelers plan better. We’d be honored to assist you again on your next trip to Beijing and help ensure a much smoother experience. Warm regards,

    Trustworthy & highly reliable!

For my autumn Beijing, I had really wanted to visit the National Museum of China but I know grabbing a ticket was impossible because the tickets are free and gone as soon as they are released. I was very lucky to chanced upon Travel China Guide who could try to secure a ticket for me at a very very low nominal fee. They are trustworthy, highly reliable and I really appreciated their prompt updates. Closer to the day of visit, they were honest in letting me know the difficulty they had in getting the ticket for the day and time I wanted and asked if I would have alternative dates, but assured me they would continue to try their best to get me my first preference for day of visit. In the end, they did manage to get me the day and time slot I wanted so I did not have to re-shuffle my travel plans. The visit to the impressive National Museum was one of the highlights of my Beijing trip. Thank you, Travel China Guide! Will definitely use their service for future trips to China.

Response from the operator: Dear valued customer, Thank you very much for your comments regarding our ticket booking service. It's truly a great honor for us to have served you. We hope that your trip in Beijing was filled with joy and excitement. Should you require any information or assistance at any time, please don't hesitate to contact us. We are always at your service and ready to help. Best regards,
