Mutianyu Great Wall

Once I made the booking I was contacted by Tony to confirm my pick up location. I had the pleasure of Lillian as my driver. She was absolutely wonderful. The trip to the Great Wall was about 1 1/2 hours in a very comfortable car. Lillian was very pleasant to be with. She was so very helpful to be sure that I got in the right line and on the cable car. I had a problem with my ticket as i had purchased the wrong one and she helped me get that sorted out. She came along with me at the beginning and was able to take some great photos of me at the Wall which was very helpful since I was on my own. She then waited for me while I hiked the wall for about 2 1/2 hours then directed me to a good place to get some lunch, then got me back to my hotel. All in all she helped make my Great Wall experience a wonderful one. Highly recommended!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful experience! We're delighted to hear that everything went smoothly from the moment Tony contacted you to confirm your pickup. It's especially rewarding to know that Lillian made your visit to the Mutianyu Great Wall so enjoyable. She always goes the extra mile to ensure our guests feel comfortable and well taken care of, and we're glad she was able to help with your ticket, guide you through the cable car process, capture some memorable photos, and recommend a nice place for lunch. Traveling solo can be a unique adventure, and we're so pleased that Lillian helped make it easy, stress-free, and memorable. Thank you for your kind recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back to Beijing for another unforgettable journey in the future. Safe travels!

How much does Beijing: Layover Tour to Mutianyu Great Wall (4-5 Hours) cost?

+

How long does Beijing: Layover Tour to Mutianyu Great Wall (4-5 Hours) take?

+

Is Beijing: Layover Tour to Mutianyu Great Wall (4-5 Hours) worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 86 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 189 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Beijing: Layover Tour to Mutianyu Great Wall (4-5 Hours)?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Beijing: Layover Tour to Mutianyu Great Wall (4-5 Hours) suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book Beijing: Layover Tour to Mutianyu Great Wall (4-5 Hours)?

+

Around 66 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Beijing: Layover Tour to Mutianyu Great Wall (4-5 Hours) start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Beijing?

+

On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Beijing?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Beijing?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
