Excellent
I loved the walk. I went with Kira, she has a lot of history knowledge and her Spanish is perfect. She even helped me with the apps that here are different. We went to the Temple of the Lama and Confucius. We walked through Houtong. All very well explained and in time. The two temples deserve to be in the Beijing must see of every traveler. The woodong is also full of good comins. Super recommended

A wonderful and Personalized Tour by a New Friend
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of The National Museum of China. We were picked up in our hotel lobby by Tom, our guide, who very quickly made us feel warm and welcomed. Tom was extremely knowledgeable of Chinese history and with that came a personality we quickly felt at ease and comfortable with - as if we had known each other for years! Tom quickly got us into the Museum and began seeing what is without question the ancient history of a magnificent culture. The museum is massive and is more than one can take in all in one day. The museum is filled with incredible relics and artifacts as you would expect. As a westerner, our knowledge of Chinese history was limited. Tom did a great job of taking us through this palace of historical objects and exhibits and focused on the most significant. That in itself, is an art. There was so much we had seen in books and online but when seeing something and you’re told - “this is ONLY 2,500 years old” and you think that is 10x the age of your own country it is mind boggling. Tom’s mastery of the history provided so much more than a brief desecration of something, it included the context of the object, how it was used, how it was made, the technology…a great experience. A true test for me is when such a time flashes forward into today’s life. At a more personal level, the sharing of observations, experiences and life in general takes the engagement to another level. We like to gain insight into the guides life and we like to share a no filter view of our life in a western culture. This is where a connection is truly made and with Tom this was ever so easy. If you need a guide, Seek Tom’s personal assistance. You will be thankful you did. And, you, like the two of us will have a new friend. Thank you Tom for the magnify. Bruce & Amy

Great half day experience
We had a great half day tour with Lindsay's guide. She is really good with a great knowledge of China's history. We could learn a lot from her. In addition, she helped us find a Pekin Duck restaurant and explained how we should ask for the dish.

How much does Beijing Half Day Private Tour : Lama Temple, Confucius Temple, WuDaoYing Hutong cost?

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Beijing Half Day Private Tour : Lama Temple, Confucius Temple, WuDaoYing Hutong take?
+

Is Beijing Half Day Private Tour : Lama Temple, Confucius Temple, WuDaoYing Hutong worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Beijing Half Day Private Tour : Lama Temple, Confucius Temple, WuDaoYing Hutong?
+

How far in advance should I book Beijing Half Day Private Tour : Lama Temple, Confucius Temple, WuDaoYing Hutong?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Beijing Half Day Private Tour : Lama Temple, Confucius Temple, WuDaoYing Hutong start and how do I get there?
+

What are the best things to do in Beijing?
+
On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Beijing?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Beijing?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
