    Know before you go

    • Public transportation options are available nearby
    • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
    • Remember that the weather conditions are out of our control, and there is no ice guarantee. If the ice conditions are not safe a winter hike will most likely be carried out instead, however last winter season we haven't had one single excursion on which we weren't able to skate :)
    • Dress for winter activity. Hat/beenie, gloves, 1 pair of warm socks are a must have! Think layers of clothes instead of very thick and warm ones. Downhill skiing pants and jackets are ok, thick running tights with wool long johns underneath. Avoid anything made of cotton (tee shirt and jeans).
    • Please email us your EU shoe sizes (37 -> 46) so we can prepare the equipment beforehand.

Great unique experience Nordic ice skating, highly recommend!

I did the shorter night time Nordic ice skating activity and my guide was Magnus. I had an amazing experience! I wish I had time to do the full day of skating. I had never skated on natural ice but Magnus is an expert and did a great job checking the ice and giving us skating tips. We went out on the Baltic Sea and briefly in Stockholm city near city hall. The provided dinner was very good too. Even if you aren’t a great skater, if you enjoy it you will like this. Highly recommend, absolutely worth it!

    Wow. wow. wow.

Truly unforgettable experience - couldn't recommend it enough. Did both the beginner day skate and the night skate and would do them both again in a heartbeat. Super well organised, incredibly knowledgable guides and scenary that will live rent free in my mind for the rest of my life. Just. Wow.

    Great Experience

What a great experience! Christian was a great guide, well organised, very informative and looked after our small group of 4 like we were family. The 14km trek around the lake was amazing and we really enjoyed our little snack stops and lunch. I was very impressed with Christian’s ability to get a fire going on the snow! We even stopped to see a rune stone. All round it was a great day made even better by our fellow companions and guide. Highly recommend!

Beginner friendly Nordic Ice Skating On lakes in Stockholm: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Stockholm.

How much does Beginner friendly Nordic Ice Skating On lakes in Stockholm cost?

    +

Prices start at $190 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Stockholm usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Beginner friendly Nordic Ice Skating On lakes in Stockholm take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Stockholm is not rushed.

Is Beginner friendly Nordic Ice Skating On lakes in Stockholm worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 77 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Stockholm, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Beginner friendly Nordic Ice Skating On lakes in Stockholm?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Beginner friendly Nordic Ice Skating On lakes in Stockholm suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Beginner friendly Nordic Ice Skating On lakes in Stockholm?

    +

Around 27 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Stockholm can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Stockholm and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Beginner friendly Nordic Ice Skating On lakes in Stockholm start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Stockholm within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Stockholm?

    +

On Outty we rank every Stockholm experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Stockholm: Walking Tour of the Old Town, Best of Stockholm: Small Group Walking Tour (Max 10, 3 Hours), Vasa Museum Guided Tour, Including Ticket & Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Stockholm?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Stockholm?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
