Emma was a great pilot!
We booked the 30-minute Bear Glacier helicopter ride and it was awesome! Pilot Emma was able to show us many sites, mountains, glaciers and animals like seals resting on icebergs. Beautiful streams running down the mountains; this was just right for us and an unforgettable experience! Thanks, Emma!

Unforgettable Glacier Flight with Pilot James
We booked the Extended Bear Glacier Scenic Flight last minute after our full-day boat tour was cut short due to rough seas—and I’m honestly glad it worked out that way. What started as a disappointing day turned into an unforgettable experience. Pilot James gave us an incredible 45-minute ride over glaciers and icebergs, with views I’ll never forget. To top it off, we even spotted a bear from the air! The flight was smooth, the scenery jaw-dropping, and the whole experience felt personal and well run. Kris even picked us up from our hotel for a small fee, which made the whole process seamless. Highly recommend if you’re in Seward.

Fantastic views of the glaciers!
We flew in the morning and had a beautiful sunny day. The shuttle driver that came to get us and checked us in was very friendly and the pilot was awesome. Very nice, very professional and very experienced! We had a wonderful trip! Amazing scenery, great pictures and a completely different view of the glaciers! Loved it! Would do it again for sure!

Wow just Wow!!! 👌
The views were amazing from above!! I’ve lived in Alaska for 28 years and have seen a lot of what Alaska has to offer. Nothing quite compares to this ride! The crew is extremely nice, always checking to make sure you you are getting what you want out of the experience! We seen bears and sheep and some unbelievably beautiful lakes and glaciers. The experience was a 10 of 10 for the price! Five stars! Strongly recommend!! They offer so many other tours too… I will for sure be back!

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Bear Glacier 30 Minute Helicopter Scenic Flight: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seward.
How much does Bear Glacier 30 Minute Helicopter Scenic Flight cost?
+
Prices start at $425 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seward usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bear Glacier 30 Minute Helicopter Scenic Flight take?
+
Plan for about 0.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seward is not rushed.
Is Bear Glacier 30 Minute Helicopter Scenic Flight worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seward, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bear Glacier 30 Minute Helicopter Scenic Flight?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bear Glacier 30 Minute Helicopter Scenic Flight suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bear Glacier 30 Minute Helicopter Scenic Flight?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seward can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seward and add a light layer if any part of the 0.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bear Glacier 30 Minute Helicopter Scenic Flight start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seward within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Seward?
+
Seward is the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park: day cruises to tidewater glaciers, whale and puffin watching, glacier hikes on Exit Glacier and halibut charters. On Outty we rank every Seward experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kenai Fjords National Park Glacier & Wildlife Cruise, Full-Day Kenai Fjords National Park Northwestern Cruise, Full-Day Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Seward?
+
Late May to early September. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Seward?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
