    Batman's True Hideout

I've never seen so many bats; it was amazing! The hike was easy and Luis takes photos along the way for great memories. Lunch was BBQ chicken in a local restaurant which easy could have been served at a 5 star restaurant. Thanks Luis for a wonderful day, kids loved it!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much. It was a pleasure. I also enjoy the trip. It is always great, to see how the visitors enjoy the adventure. It was a real pleasure to serve you.

    Very nice outdoors experience!

They picked us up on time and all the trip went smooth as explained by the guide. The cave is awesome and the guide took his time to explain each spot of the cave. We spent a little more than 3 hours inside the cave, it was amazing. It's worth it to have a waterproof camera or to bring your phone in a waterproof case because the pictures you can take are amazing!

Response from the operator: It is great to know, that you enjoid the tour. Was a plesure serve you. Thank you very much for gived us the opportunity to guided you on this adventure. Greetings Luis Ivan

Amazing place to visit and a great guide/tour

I visited Bayano caves with a couple of friends, we asked fairly last minute and were lucky another group was already going so we were able to join them. Luis picked us up in Panama City and drove us to Lake Bayano, where we got in a boat and headed to the caves, which is a beautiful ride in of itself. The caves are amazing, there are parts where it is dark and you see bats, and other areas where it opens up to canyons and the light coming through along with the green vegetation along the canyon walls are just spectacular. Luis provided helmets with lights, walking sticks (which were super helpful!) and life jackets and did a great job of briefing us on what to do and also explaining a lot of information about the area and the caves both before and during the tour. Before and after the tour we stopped a nearby restaurant to have breakfast and lunch. It was a long day but a wonderful day! It was a well organized tour and Luis speaks both Spanish and English and he did a great job of making sure we were well informed and safe (and took lots of photos for us, thanks!)

Response from the operator: O it is great to know that you and your friends enjoid the tour. For us was a plesure guided you on that trour and we hope that you enjoy much more of the Panama paradise. Greetings and thank you very much for give us the opportunitie to serve you.

    Must do activity in Panama!

We really enjoyed this tour with Luis. The cave was beautiful! It was a little scary walking into a dark cave but we got used to it almost immediately. We were rewarded by really beautiful vistas and structures. Even the kids were very excited. One of the best tours we have done. Luis was a treasure of knowledge about the area and was happy to answer all our questions. The lunch after the tour was delicious as well! Highly recommended...

Response from the operator: Thank you. We are here to serve you and it was a real pleasure to accompany you. We are happy to know that you and your family enjoyed this natural wonder of Panama. Thank you very much.

    Bayano Cave: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Panama City.

How much does Bayano Cave cost?

    +

Prices start at $230 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Panama City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bayano Cave take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Panama City is not rushed.

    Is Bayano Cave worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Panama City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bayano Cave?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bayano Cave suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bayano Cave?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Panama City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Panama City and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bayano Cave start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Panama City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Panama City?

    +

On Outty we rank every Panama City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tour to a waterfall and Embera village with lunch included, Ocean to Ocean Combo: Canal Boat Safari, Agua Clara & Gatun Locks, Half day of Panama city and canal tour: shared and private. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Panama City?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Panama City?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

What is included in Bayano Cave?

    +

Included: All the equipment for the trip; In-vehicle air conditioning; Parking fees; and Lunch. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

Does Bayano Cave include hotel pickup?

    +

Yes, pickup is offered, or you can meet at the start point instead from 112 listed pickup locations in and around Panama City. Be ready about 30 minutes before the start time. You can also enter a custom pickup address when booking.

What languages is Bayano Cave offered in?

    +

It is offered in English and Spanish. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.

Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Bayano Cave?

    +

Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.

Is Bayano Cave wheelchair or stroller accessible?

    +

The operator notes: Not recommended for pregnant travelers. If accessibility is critical, contact the operator after booking to confirm arrangements for your date.

What happens to Bayano Cave if the weather is bad?

    +

This experience depends on good weather. If it is canceled because of poor weather, you are offered a different date or a full refund.

What do travelers say about Bayano Cave?

    +

Across 9 reviews averaging 5.0 out of 5, recurring themes include the guide, food and drink, photo opportunities. Travelers single out the guide as the reason the experience works.
