Two Outstanding Days with an Exceptional Guide

We first met Sepp on a Viator tour that combined the Eagle’s Nest and Salzburg in a single day. From the moment we started, it was clear that he was far more than just a guide. His knowledge, professionalism, and friendly personality made the entire experience enjoyable and engaging from start to finish. Just a few hours after we booked our Eagle’s Nest and Salzburg tour through Viator, Sepp reached out and offered us a second excursion at a special direct-booking rate. The offer was too good to pass up, and after learning more about the experience, we decided to book the Dachau tour directly with him as well. Our second day was a visit to Dachau Concentration Camp, and Sepp's expertise truly stood out. He provided thoughtful, detailed explanations throughout the memorial site and brought the history to life in a respectful and meaningful way. His depth of knowledge was remarkable, and he was able to answer every question we had. As a couple traveling together, we especially appreciated the personal attention and the many interesting conversations we shared with him over both days. Even lunch was a memorable part of the experience. Having traveled extensively around the world, we have had the opportunity to tour with many guides over the years, and Sepp ranks among the very best. He is knowledgeable, personable, professional, and genuinely passionate about what he does. Whether exploring the Eagle’s Nest, Salzburg, or Dachau, he made every moment interesting, engaging, and memorable. We cannot think of a single thing we would change and only wish more guides were like him. If you are considering a tour with Sepp, do not hesitate—you will be in excellent hands. Highly recommended.

    The Ultimate Bavarian Adventure

The Ultimate Bavarian Family Adventure! If you are looking for a tour guide in Bavaria, I cannot recommend Sepp enough. From the very beginning, his communication was outstanding and his attention to detail was unparalleled. We traveled from Texas with our two young children, and Sepp made sure every aspect of the day was completely stress-free and tailored specifically to our family. He picked us up exactly on time at our Munich hotel in a luxurious, climate-controlled BMW X7 with panoramic views. He truly went above and beyond to make us comfortable, fully stocking the vehicle based on our specific requests before the trip. His incredible hospitality included: Fanta for the kids and sparkling water for me. A fantastic German rosé wine and local Bavarian beer. An array of gluten-free snacks, fresh pretzels, mixed nuts, and Pringles. He even provided two booster seats for our kids so we didn't have to worry about them. To save us time, he stopped at his favorite local bakery that morning and surprised us with fresh cappuccinos, alongside butter and chocolate croissants. Our itinerary was absolutely spectacular. We took a breathtaking boat ride across the crystal-clear waters of Lake Königssee to the St. Bartholomä peninsula, where we enjoyed a wonderful traditional Bavarian lunch right by the lake. In the afternoon, we took the mountain buses up to the historic Eagle's Nest to take in the incredible panoramic views and learn about the history of the location. What really stood out was Sepp's professionalism and adaptability. When the Alpine weather looked like it might not cooperate, he reassured us and came fully prepared with umbrellas and rain ponchos. He even had excellent backup plans ready—like exploring Salzburg or the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine—just in case the lake boats couldn't operate safely. Sepp is not just a guide; he's a phenomenal host who genuinely cares about creating unforgettable memories for his guests. Thank you, Sepp, for an amazing day in beautiful Bavaria! Highly, highly recommend

Three Unforgettable Days with Sepp - The Bavarian Guide

We had the absolute pleasure of spending three full days in Munich with Sepp, *The Bavarian Guide*, and it was one of the highlights of our European holiday. From the moment we met him, Sepp made us feel like we were being shown around by a trusted friend rather than a tour guide. He is incredibly warm, kind, patient and genuinely caring. Throughout the three days, he went above and beyond to make sure every member of our family had a wonderful experience, always checking that everyone was comfortable, engaged and enjoying themselves. What truly sets Sepp apart is his highly personalised approach. Rather than following a rigid itinerary, he was wonderfully flexible, happily adjusting the schedule, pace and activities to suit our family's interests, energy levels and even the weather. His local knowledge is exceptional, and he shared fascinating stories and insights that brought Bavaria's history, culture and traditions to life in a way that no guidebook ever could. Looking back, choosing a multi-day tour was the best decision we made. Spending several days together allowed Sepp to really get to know our family, which made each day feel even more tailored and personal. By the end of the tour, it felt like we were exploring Munich and Bavaria with a friend who genuinely cared about creating unforgettable memories for us. If you're considering booking Sepp, our strongest recommendation is to book him for multiple days if your schedule allows. That is where his personalised style truly shines. The flexibility, thoughtful planning, attention to detail and genuine care he invests in his guests create an experience that is far more meaningful than a standard day tour. Thank you, Sepp, for your warmth, generosity and passion. You gave our family memories that we will treasure for a lifetime, and we would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone visiting Munich or Bavaria. We hope to return one day and explore more of this beautiful region with you.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Munich.

How much does Bavaria Your Way: Private Guided Tour (4–12 Hours, Up to 8 Pax) cost?

    +

Prices start at $999 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Munich usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bavaria Your Way: Private Guided Tour (4–12 Hours, Up to 8 Pax) take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Munich is not rushed.

Is Bavaria Your Way: Private Guided Tour (4–12 Hours, Up to 8 Pax) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 42 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Munich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bavaria Your Way: Private Guided Tour (4–12 Hours, Up to 8 Pax)?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Bavaria Your Way: Private Guided Tour (4–12 Hours, Up to 8 Pax) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bavaria Your Way: Private Guided Tour (4–12 Hours, Up to 8 Pax)?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Munich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Munich and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bavaria Your Way: Private Guided Tour (4–12 Hours, Up to 8 Pax) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Munich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Munich?

    +

On Outty we rank every Munich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guided Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site Tour with Train from Munich, Munich Classic Bike Tour @ 11.30am with Surfers & beergarden stop, Dachau Memorial Half-Day Tour from Munich (Early-Start). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Munich?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Munich?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
