    Batur trek was spot on

My partner and I did the Batur volcano hike with these guys and we're both bloody stoked. Our guide was an absolute legend, kept us motivated the whole way up and made sure everyone was safe. The views at the top are just mental. It got pretty chilly before the sun came up, so definitely bring a proper jacket, but that's just nature. Everything was smooth and well organized, so it is a well-deserved 5 out of rating for the team.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We're thrilled to hear that you and your partner had such a great experience on the Mount Batur trek. Reaching the summit before sunrise is always a special moment, and we're glad our guide helped make the journey enjoyable, safe, and motivating along the way. Thank you as well for mentioning the cooler temperatures before sunrise — that's a very helpful tip for future travelers planning the hike. We truly appreciate your kind words about the organization of the tour and the efforts of our team. It means a lot to know that everything ran smoothly and that the experience lived up to your expectations. We hope to welcome you back to Bali again in the future for more unforgettable adventures! Warm regards, MyBaliTrips Team

    Bitten and unhappy

After the tour ended, the friendly manager asked how it went and asked for more details. After I told her, she didn't return any more messages. I've already ridden with these guys, usually after a successful tour they offer to leave a review on their website. This time, they didn't offer feedback, apparently to avoid ruining the statistics, so I'll leave it here. The review itself: Questionable nutrition. We both had very bad stomach pain after breakfast, the next meal we chose to let We climbed the volcano an hour before dawn, where we were urged without interruption to buy bracelets, drinks. Water wasn't given to us with the food, apparently with the expectation that we should buy it from locals. The guide had a bad runny nose, but even in the car he was sitting without a mask. But the most unpleasant thing is, when the monkeys attacked us, he smiled, said it was lucky that they were healthy monkeys and everything was fine, otherwise there would have been a problem with great And he went ahead instead of helping us drive the monkeys away. I told the guide that I was uncomfortable and I wanted us to move forward faster and he saw that I had scratches and bites that were bleeding, but just smiled. Instead of continuing the tour (hot springs), we went to the hospital. The volcano is very beautiful, but if possible it is better to climb independently

    Batur

Good afternoon! Yesterday she climbed Batur, even after 24 hours this painting is before her eyes. Incredible dawn, view of Agung, crater, band! I was very pleased with the organization of the tour, there were breakfasts, enough time at the top to look around and enjoy the views, a friendly guide with normal English, all tried to explain and answer questions. Thank you!

Batur Volcano Trekking: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seminyak.

How much does Batur Volcano Trekking cost?

    +

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seminyak usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Batur Volcano Trekking take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seminyak is not rushed.

Is Batur Volcano Trekking worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seminyak, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Batur Volcano Trekking?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Batur Volcano Trekking suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Batur Volcano Trekking?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seminyak can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seminyak and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Batur Volcano Trekking start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seminyak within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Seminyak?

    +

On Outty we rank every Seminyak experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Bali Waterfalls: Tibumana, Tukad Cepung and Tegenungan, Bali Instagram Tour: The Most Scenic Spots, Ubud Hot Springs and Waterfall Private Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Seminyak?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Seminyak?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
