We had a blast of a time
Well when I landed in Vietnam I didn't think I would be riding a buffalo or floating down a river in a hand made basket but I did and it was fantastic. We did so many things while in Vietnam but these two were some of the most memorable. Great job Andy. See you next year

Hoi An
We had an incredible tour with our guide, Mr. Kong. The tour through all the villages was one my family and I will remember forever. My children ages 11, 10, 8 and 6 can sometimes be a tough crowd, but Mr. Kong was able to keep them engaged through the whole trip. They enjoyed every part of it. In fact, of all the tours we did while traveling through Vietnam, this one was their favorite. They especially liked the hands on farming experience!

Countryside visit
This was booked as a last minute half day tour. We were picked up at our hotel in a very comfortable car and taken first for a buffalo ride and then visited the countryside to see the local small producers and invited to lend a hand and discover how they produce their herbs and vegetables with no chemicals and enjoyed a cup of tea with the owners. We were at the height of the corona virus and some visits had to be postponed but alternatives were found and we had a very interesting afternoon with excellent guide. Would recommend .

My Vietnam adventures
Today I did this tour with Andy and was really enjoyable. Seen how the locals farm & make their pottery. He also organised a lantern making class which was fun and great place to purchase extras for family & friends. Thank you again Andy Tours

A wonderful learning experience
We were lucky enough to have Andy organise us a half day tour of Hoi An and small villages to experience the real Viet lifestyle. Rice paper making, boat building, sleep mat weaving, farming and fishing. Only booked late the night prior, the tour was first class. Picked up from our hotel, a knowledgeable guide Mr Lee showed us the highlights, flexible in the experience given everyone’s prep for the Lunar New Year. We were then able to enjoy a walking tour of Old Hoi An, finishing the tour in a restaurant trying the local foods. Highly recommended.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Basket Boat-Buffalo Ride-Farming-Pottery Making &Marble Mountains: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hoi An.
How much does Basket Boat-Buffalo Ride-Farming-Pottery Making &Marble Mountains cost?
+
Prices start at $105 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hoi An usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Basket Boat-Buffalo Ride-Farming-Pottery Making &Marble Mountains take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hoi An is not rushed.
Is Basket Boat-Buffalo Ride-Farming-Pottery Making &Marble Mountains worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hoi An, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Basket Boat-Buffalo Ride-Farming-Pottery Making &Marble Mountains?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Basket Boat-Buffalo Ride-Farming-Pottery Making &Marble Mountains suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Basket Boat-Buffalo Ride-Farming-Pottery Making &Marble Mountains?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hoi An can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hoi An and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Basket Boat-Buffalo Ride-Farming-Pottery Making &Marble Mountains start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hoi An within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hoi An?
+
On Outty we rank every Hoi An experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HOI AN Hidden Gems in Rural Villages & River Islands PRIVATE TOUR, Coconut Jungle Eco & Hoi An City Tour With Boat Ride, Cooking Class Hoi An:Local Market, Basket Boat, Fishing & Cooking. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hoi An?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hoi An?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
