A fun way to connect with the old town of Bari

Something fun and different! Our guide Chiara was very pleasant and knowledgeable and spoke several languages. We had a few minutes to check out St Nicholas’s Cathedral and Chiara told us some fascinating local history. At the pasta-making workshop we felt a bit forgotten by the hosts and Chiara had to do the job of instructing us. Maybe because it was the end of the day. The homemade pasta and wine were very nice.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the experience and that Chiara's knowledge, enthusiasm, and multilingual skills helped make your tour memorable. We’ll be sure to share your lovely comments with her. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the pasta-making workshop. We're sorry to hear that you felt a bit overlooked by the hosts. Your comments are very valuable and will help us work with our partners to improve the experience for future guests. We're glad you enjoyed the homemade pasta and wine, and we hope to welcome you back to Puglia again soon!

Great Short Tour - No Stress

We took this tour with my 86 year old father. It was a great opportunity to see the old city without having to walk far. Cristiano was well informed and a lot of fun! We loved trying to make orecchiette! Meeting Nonna Nunzia was a highlight!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your lovely review! We’re so glad you and your father enjoyed the city, the orecchiette class, and meeting Nonna Nunzia. It was a pleasure having you with us!

    Disappointed cooking pasta experience

I thought will be a pasta cooking experience but was more a city guide tour with 5 minutes pasta cooking experience. The guide took us to the place where it supposed to do the cooking but surprisingly nobody waited for us there. The local lady was surprised we were there and she quickly laid the table with some small chairs and started to pour some samolima flour for us… After that she cooked some pasta and served in some plastic plates and also served the wine in plastig glasses. not a very nice experience. I can give 5* to our guides they were lovely but not for Velo Service to organise the experience

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that the pasta cooking experience did not meet your expectations. Our intention is always to offer an authentic and enjoyable moment, but it seems we missed the mark this time. We appreciate your kind words about our guides—they are indeed passionate and dedicated. Regarding the pasta activity, we will review the organization and setting to ensure a more welcoming and polished experience in the future. Your comments help us improve, and we hope you might consider giving us another chance to show you the best of Bari. Warm regards, The Velo Service Team

Bari Pasta Experience by Rickshaw: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bari.

How much does Bari Pasta Experience by Rickshaw cost?

    +

Prices start at $26 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bari usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bari Pasta Experience by Rickshaw take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bari is not rushed.

Is Bari Pasta Experience by Rickshaw worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 33 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bari, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bari Pasta Experience by Rickshaw?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bari Pasta Experience by Rickshaw suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bari Pasta Experience by Rickshaw?

    +

Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bari can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bari and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bari Pasta Experience by Rickshaw start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bari within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bari?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bari experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bari’s Ultimate Street Food Tour - Small Group by Do Eat Better, Boat Tour of the Polignano a Mare Coast with Aperitif, Bari Vecchia Group Tour in Italian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bari?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bari?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
