  2. Esculptura de lletres Barcino

Check out the decidedly modern addition just next to the ancient Barcelona Cathedral. These 20th century sculptures were created with letters from the artistic alphabet of Joan Brossa in 1992. The six bronze and one aluminum pieces spell out Barcino, which was the name of the city before it became Barcelona.

  3. Placa Del Rei

Plaça del Rei, or Plaza of the King, is a serene Medieval square in the heart of el Gotico. Ensconced by The Palau Reial Major, or Major Royal Palace, it's easy to imagine the counts of Barcelona and kings of Aragon (and perhaps Christopher Columbus?) carrying out their duties under the watchful eye of a majestic 15th century tower.

  4. MUHBA Temple d'August

These staggering columns from the 1st Century BC are impressive in both stature and history. Residing in a quiet courtyard in the Jewish Quarter, the four monoliths were uncovered entirely by accident in the 19th century. Standing nine meters (nearly 30 feet) tall, the four columns were part of a much larger temple, dedicated to the worship of Emperor Augustus.

  5. Pont del Bisbe

The age of this gorgeous arch-bridge may surprise you, and it’s hidden-secrets might give you a bit of a spook! While the style is ornately gothic, it was actually built in 1928 by architect Joan Rubio, who was a friend and disciple of Antoni Gaudi. But how did this small strip of architectural art come to be? Come with me to learn!

  6. MUHBA - El Call

We will go through the Jewish Quarter and see the oldest synagogue in Spain, which is also one of the oldest in all of Europe. Learn about the contributions the Jewish community made before their "expulsion" and what happened after.

  7. Placa de Sant Jaume

Flanked by the Barcelona City Hall and the Palace of the Provincial Government of Catalunya, Plaza Sant Jaume is the administrative center of the city and region! Once the site of the Church of Sant Jaume, the bustling square is also home to cafes, chocolate shops and all other sorts of retail. A great place to part ways!

Never showed. No assistance.

Unreliable. They never showed. It was terrible. Wasted money, wasted time and a disappointed wife. Don’t use them.

Response from the operator: I’m very sorry for missing your tour. I was without internet access and didn’t see your booking, which came just a few hours before the scheduled tour. I have issued a full refund. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment and would welcome the chance to make it right on a future visit. Best regards, Valerie

Valerie took us on an informative walking tour, and took some great pictures along the way. Highly recommend this experience. You will have a wonderful time and have lovely photos to show for it, regardless of if it's just you, a couple, or a group. I went with my family and we will cherish these photos forever. Thank you Val!

Valerie is very knowledgeable about the Gothic quarter

Valerie is very knowledgeable about the Gothic quarter, personable, and has a sense of humor. She pointed out many things that I would have missed. I would retake a tour, and so should you.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the kind words. I also had a great time with you guys. I'm glad you learned!!

What a great tour!

Valerie is so knowledgeable and fun! She guided us through the Gothic quarter telling us about the history of the landmarks and pointing out the littlest details. If you're looking for an English or Spanish speaking guide, look no further!

Barcelona Tour And Photoshoot in Gothic Quarter: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.

How much does Barcelona Tour And Photoshoot in Gothic Quarter cost?

+

Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Barcelona Tour And Photoshoot in Gothic Quarter take?

+

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.

Is Barcelona Tour And Photoshoot in Gothic Quarter worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Barcelona Tour And Photoshoot in Gothic Quarter?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Barcelona Tour And Photoshoot in Gothic Quarter suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Barcelona Tour And Photoshoot in Gothic Quarter?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Barcelona Tour And Photoshoot in Gothic Quarter start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Barcelona?

+

Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

+

May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
