    Best cooking class in Barcelona!

Fantastic! The experience of going through a local market, meeting the artisans, and snacking on delicious bites was great. We learned about the local culture a well as recommendations for other places to visit while in Barcelona. Stefano and Veronique were gracious hosts. The class was well laid out and very hands on, which was amazing. Couldn't have had a better time! We hope all cooking experiences can be like this one!

Response from the operator: Dear Steven, Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a heartwarming and enthusiastic review! We’re thrilled to hear that your experience with Stefano and Veronique was a highlight of your time in Barcelona. From exploring the local market to enjoying hands-on cooking and cocktails, it sounds like a truly memorable day. As newer hosts in our community, we’re especially delighted they had the chance to welcome you. Their warmth, passion, and deep love for Spanish cuisine and culture truly shine, and we’re so glad that came through during your experience. We hope to host you again on another Traveling Spoon adventure, whether in Spain or somewhere else around the world. Thank you again for being such a joyful part of our community! Warm regards, Aashi

    Wonderful Experience!

We were on a cruise with family with a stop in Almeria for one day. My husband, sister and I wanted to do something a little "different", and I'm so glad I booked this cooking class with Juan. It was so much fun learning to make authentic paella, but meeting Juan and his wife was the best part! I highly recommend doing this if you are ever in Almeria.

Response from the operator: Dear Tracy, Thank you so much for your lovely review of your Traveling Spoon experience in Spain with our wonderful host Juan! We're thrilled to hear that learning to make authentic paella, and most of all, connecting with Juan and his wife - was such a highlight of your day in Almeria. We agree that connecting with locals over food is one of the most meaningful and memorable parts of travel! It looks like your review may have been posted to our Barcelona host's profile by mistake, but no worries - we’re just so grateful you took the time to share your experience. We’re so glad you chose to do something a little different and that it turned into such a memorable part of your trip. Thank you again for being part of the Traveling Spoon community. We hope to welcome you on another culinary adventure soon, wherever your travels take you!

    Amazing experience and experience!!

Amazing experience with Juan as our chef teacher and host! We met his family in person at their apartment in Almería, and they made us feel so welcome. You can tell he is passionate about food, stories, and sharing cooking skills, local flavors, and traditional food. Fantastic experience - it was truly a highlight of our visit to the area. Any class with Juan would be so fun, whether online or in person. Thank you again!!

Barcelona Tapas Cooking & Cocktail Class with Veronique & Mattias: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.

How much does Barcelona Tapas Cooking & Cocktail Class with Veronique & Mattias cost?

    +

Prices start at $79 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Barcelona Tapas Cooking & Cocktail Class with Veronique & Mattias take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.

Is Barcelona Tapas Cooking & Cocktail Class with Veronique & Mattias worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Barcelona Tapas Cooking & Cocktail Class with Veronique & Mattias?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Barcelona Tapas Cooking & Cocktail Class with Veronique & Mattias suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Barcelona Tapas Cooking & Cocktail Class with Veronique & Mattias?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Barcelona Tapas Cooking & Cocktail Class with Veronique & Mattias start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Barcelona?

    +

Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

    +

May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
