Not worth it
They circle around Barcelona counter-clock wise, so every thing to see and take pictures were is on the left side of the copter. I was stuffed on the far right side of it, so it was less than ideal. The activity is quite short and the location is quite far from everything else. Riding a Helicopter was on bucket list, so that's done but I'm not really proud of it.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us. 🚁💙 We’re glad you enjoyed the opportunity to experience a helicopter flight and tick it off your bucket list. We understand that the views can feel different depending on each passenger’s seat and perspective. Our 12-minute Sky route is designed to give all passengers the opportunity to enjoy Barcelona’s coastline and iconic sights from the air, with plenty to discover throughout the flight. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope that, despite the points mentioned, you’ll look back on your first helicopter experience as a special memory. ✨

didn’t worth it
it lasted too short.. We didn’t get to enjoy it much. We didn’t see much. The pilot only drove us along the coast of barcelonetta for a couple of minutes and that was it! Although it was nice while it lasted it didn’t last long!
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your thoughts. 🚁 We're truly happy to hear that you enjoyed the experience, even if it felt all too short. We often hear that time flies when you're doing something special, and helicopter flights have a way of leaving you wanting just a little more! For those looking to spend even longer in the air, we also offer extended helicopter experiences along the coastline and over the city. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back for another unforgettable flight in the future. 💙

Travelled Hours for Nothing
Very disappointing experience. My family and I traveled all the way from San Sebastián to Barcelona mainly for this helicopter tour. I even contacted the company via WhatsApp one day before our booking to confirm everything, so we expected no problems. When we arrived at the office, we checked in and even received our boarding passes. However, after waiting, our flight was suddenly cancelled. We noticed that people who booked directly with the company’s office were given priority, while those of us who booked through this application were left behind. Another family who had also booked through the app experienced the same situation. Around 12:00, we saw one helicopter parked in the hangar, but no clear explanation was given. It felt like bookings made through this app were treated as lower priority than direct bookings. This was extremely disappointing because we planned our trip around this experience and spent significant time and money traveling for it. I cannot say for certain why our booking was cancelled, but based on what we experienced, it appeared that direct bookings were prioritized over bookings made through this platform. If you book through a third-party application, be aware that your reservation may not receive the same priority. Better communication and fair treatment of all customers, regardless of how they booked, is needed. 1/5 – Very bad experience.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry that your experience was affected by the last-minute cancellation. On that day, all helicopter operations were suspended due to official airspace restrictions beyond our control. We would also like to clarify that no customers were prioritised based on their booking channel, as all flights were equally affected by the closure. We completely understand your disappointment, especially after travelling to Barcelona for this experience, and we sincerely regret the inconvenience caused by these exceptional circumstances. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back under better conditions in the future.

I had an amazing experience with this company. The view was absolutely breathtaking and I highly recommend this tour. Taxi (£13.00) to Pier A.

Why this scores 52
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Barcelona Official Helicopter Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.
How much does Barcelona Official Helicopter Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $147 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Barcelona Official Helicopter Tour take?
+
Plan for about 0.1 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.
Is Barcelona Official Helicopter Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 43 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Barcelona Official Helicopter Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Barcelona Official Helicopter Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Barcelona Official Helicopter Tour?
+
Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 0.1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Barcelona Official Helicopter Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Barcelona?
+
Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Barcelona?
+
May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Barcelona?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
