Not as advertised

Not what it should have been, nor as advertised. The tour specifically was billed as a tour of "all the top landmarks" including the Sagrada Familia. It didn't. We didn't get close to the Sagrada, and while we passed many beautiful buildings (impossible not to in Barcelona) our guide didn't give much commentary either. Occasionally we'd stop for a break "now you can have ten minutes free time" but not near famous landmarks. He was a cheerful guy, and spoke fluent English, and showed us how to have fun on a Segway (again, impossible not to have fun on a Segway) but in no way was this a guided tour. Lastly, we had booked for 2.5 hours. We met up at 1.15pm, set off at about 1.30, and the tour was over by 3pm.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your detailed feedback. We’re sorry the tour did not match the advertised itinerary and that the duration was shorter than expected. We understand your disappointment and appreciate your comments about the guide and overall experience.

Excellent for teens

Such good fun . Went with 3 teenage boys and we had a mix of Segway and bikes . Daniel was a great guide and judged our group well with just enough history to keep the teens engaged. We chose this as they get bored on a bus tour . I highly recommend, our teens and we loved it . It’s a great fun way to see the city and better value than the bus tour imo .

Response from the operator: Thank you for the fantastic review! We’re glad you and the teens had such a fun mix of Segways and bikes, and that Daniel struck the perfect balance to keep everyone engaged. Great to hear it was a hit compared to a bus tour. 🚴‍♂️😊

Excellent, unique family-friendly activity

We traveled as a family of 6, ages 16-50, and this tour with Ruslan was definitely a highlight of our trip. I was a little uncomfortable the Segway, and Ruslan suggested I switch to an ebike, which was wonderful. We covered so much ground and had a fun time zooming up to see the Gaudi archetecture and down to the beach. All of the kids felt very comfortable operating the Segways and understanding the traffic laws. Barcelona is such a bike friendly city we felt very safe. Such a fun afternoon!

Response from the operator: Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re glad your family had such a fun time and that Ruslan made everyone feel comfortable, including the smooth switch to an e-bike. Great to hear you enjoyed the Gaudí sights and the ride to the beach. 🚴‍♂️😊

Great way to ride around the city

The segways were a fun way to ride around the city. I thought there would be a bit more historical content. Overall great experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed exploring the city on a Segway. We understand your expectation for more historical content and will take that into account as we refine the tour experience. 🚴‍♂️😊

Fantastic experience with our guide Ruslan

Absolutely brilliant experience. My wife and I had never rode segways before and the training was perfect. Took us minutes to be whizzing around. Our guide Ruslan was amazing. Shared some brilliant knowledge at each stops and was a very good guide as we navigated the roads of Barcelona. The group was a nice size of 6 so it still felt super comfortable and personal. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to cram in some sightseeing with a different mode of transport! Even had time to stop and snap pictures at some of the sights!

Response from the operator: Thanks for your amazing review! Wonderful to hear Ruslan’s guidance and training made your first Segway experience so enjoyable, informative, and personal — sounds like an unforgettable ride through Barcelona! 🚴‍♂️✨

Barcelona Gaudí Segway Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.

How much does Barcelona Gaudí Segway Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Barcelona Gaudí Segway Tour take?

+

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.

Is Barcelona Gaudí Segway Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 64 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Barcelona Gaudí Segway Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Barcelona Gaudí Segway Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 16. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2.5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Barcelona Gaudí Segway Tour?

+

Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Barcelona Gaudí Segway Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Barcelona?

+

Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

+

May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
