About this experience
There's tapas. And then there's tapas. If you are new to the city, finding the REAL thing can be hard. Our Tapas Tour takes you to venues specially selected for their authenticity, their history and the quality of their tapas. It is as much about ambience as it is about anchovies, as the spirit of Barcelona resides in these humble tapas bars. Starting in a cozy local wine bar, we stop for a traditional aperetivo, then onto some classic, rustic eateries as well as a more creative and contemporary hang out. On our Tapas Tour, you will experience what its really like to eat and drink like a local in Barcelona. The tour is for people with a genuine interest in food and an open mind when it comes to new flavours and ideas. Your guide is a local who will tell you about the history of the restaurant, the area and the origin of the dishes you’re eating. There will be a maximum of 6 people on the tour, an intimate group, so it’s like going on a tapas crawl with a bunch of amigos.

Enjoyable and informative !
We had a lovely time on our tapas tour- learning so many tidbits about Barcelona and Catalan culture while trying delicious bites and unfamiliar, but very tasty drink options!

HIGHLY Recommend!
We had an amazing tour with Paula! She had cancellations and it ended up being just 2 of us which was great for us! She introduced us to 3 quaint spots, tapas and vermouth at the first spot, which we completely fell in love with and never would have ordered on our own. She had us trying things out of our comfort zone and we loved it all! Her explanation of the history of Barcelona and the food traditions made us love the city even more. She is the owner of the tour company and made our day in Barcelona so special. She also gave us recommendations for dinner near our hotel which we thoroughly enjoyed. I cannot recommend this tour enough! It was the highlight of our stay. We will recommend this to everyone we know coming to Barcelona. Thank you Paula!

Paula was fantastic!
Paula was amazing! Food and drinks were fantastic and we definitely saw small local places we likely would not have known about. As someone who doesn’t typically sign for a “tour“ Paula made us feel like we were just meeting with friends that live in Barcelona.

Best tapas tour - Paula showed us the real Barcelona
After booking and loving Barcelona Bike Tour ran by Buena Vista I enquired about a tapas tour and I am so glad I asked and found myself on this tour. Paula the guide took my husband and I on a private tapas tour around Barcelona and it was 10/10. Stricly local spots only with no other tourists, absolutely delicious food (that I would have never known to order myself) and a really memorable afternoon. Thank you!

The Ultimate Barcelona Tapas Experience
One of the absolute highlights of our time in Barcelona! This tapas tour was the perfect way to experience the city’s food, culture, and energy all in one unforgettable evening. From the moment we started, it felt like being shown around by a local friend rather than a tour guide. We visited a fantastic mix of traditional and modern tapas bars — places we never would have found on our own — and every stop offered something special. The food was incredible: fresh, authentic, and beautifully explained. What really made the tour exceptional was the guide’s passion and knowledge. They shared fascinating stories about Barcelona’s history, neighbourhoods, and food culture, which made each bite even more meaningful. If you want to truly experience Barcelona beyond the tourist spots, this tapas tour is a must-do. Come hungry, leave happy, and expect to discover flavours and places you’ll be thinking about long after the trip ends. Highly, highly recommended!

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Barcelona 3-Hour Food & Wine Walking Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.
How much does Barcelona 3-Hour Food & Wine Walking Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Barcelona 3-Hour Food & Wine Walking Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.
Is Barcelona 3-Hour Food & Wine Walking Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Barcelona 3-Hour Food & Wine Walking Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Barcelona 3-Hour Food & Wine Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Barcelona 3-Hour Food & Wine Walking Tour?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Barcelona 3-Hour Food & Wine Walking Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Barcelona?
+
Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Barcelona?
+
May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Barcelona?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
