    About this experience

With hundreds of temples within its city borders, one cannot see all. Carefully chosen from importance to simply stunning, our tour among Buddhist landmarks in Bangkok includes quick view of local vibe of the capital. Admire amazing 5.5 ton gilded Buddha statue at Wat Traimit, located in Bangkok's Chinatown. Home to largest solid gold Buddha image in world, standing 15 feet tall, this 700-year-old statue has interesting history. Get perfect shot at reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. This large temple neighbors Grand Palace and contains gigantic gold-plated Reclining Buddha, 46 meters long and 15 meters high, with inlaid mother-of-pearl soles. Considered world's most famous temple, also regarded as Thailand's first university. Walk respectfully over grounds of Wat Benjamaborpitr, Marble Temple, noted for elegant white marble façade constructed of imported Italian marble. Inside main chapel sits country's most captivating Buddha image. Watch Bangkok beehive of activity with traditions.

See Wat Trimitr - Wat Pho - Wat Benchamapophit in a half day tour!

We combined this afternoon tour (Wat Trimitr - Wat Pho - Wat Benchamapophit) with a morning tour of the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, so we got to see everything we wanted to do in Bangkok city in one day. Our tour guide was Ben, a great guide who speaks good English. She even found us refuge in a wonderful, elegant café (the sole customers!) when we had to take a break from the tour during an afternoon monsoon downpour! Thoroughly recommended tour from Asian Trails (we had a private tour), where the guide gives you enough time and information at every temple.

    Informative but overpriced

Our tour guide, John, was very knowledgeable about the sites and the surrounding neighborhoods. But P2000 (about US$40) per person is way too expensive for just a morning tour consisting of three temples.

Response from the operator: Dear pfern2014 What a wonderful yet honest review and thanks for sharing your Asian Trails experience with us. The temples are taking up a prominent place in the capital and these temples certainly represent the finest examples of what Bangkok has to offer. Guides are our ambassadors in the field, out in the open and in the realms of monuments and sites. We certainly will pass this message on to John to show her how much you've enjoyed her presence and travel advice. As for the price, we’d appreciate your comments. Although prices versus quality remains a subjective approach based on more factors that determine the right price, we certainly take your feedback into consideration. Once again, such reviews are wonderful starts of our morning, and we do look forward welcoming you again to Amazing Thailand in not too long a future. With kind regards Asian Trails Thailand

Good way to beat the crowds!

Scheduled a private, half-day tour, with hotel pick up. They were prompt, courteous and well informed. The guide seemed to know the “back ways” to get in, and the driver was adept at navigating what seemed like harrowing Bangkok traffic. A good experience that we recommend to others.

Response from the operator: Dear toginan Great to hear that you have opted for booking this half day excursion along Bangkok's famous temples! It is seen as a must-do when visiting Thailand's capital for the first time. The importance of the temples in Thai culture should not be underestimated and deciding to visit these landmarks has been the right choice. We simply assure that, with the team on the ground and in the field, the experience and explanations given remain of the highest level of service delivery. Looking forward seeing you and your travel companions again to the Land of Smiles! With kind regards Asian Trails Thailand

Bangkok’s Sacred Temples & Local Culture Half Day Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.

How much does Bangkok’s Sacred Temples & Local Culture Half Day Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $34 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bangkok’s Sacred Temples & Local Culture Half Day Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.

Is Bangkok’s Sacred Temples & Local Culture Half Day Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bangkok’s Sacred Temples & Local Culture Half Day Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bangkok’s Sacred Temples & Local Culture Half Day Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bangkok’s Sacred Temples & Local Culture Half Day Tour?

    +

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bangkok’s Sacred Temples & Local Culture Half Day Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bangkok?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bangkok?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bangkok?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
