Wat Pho, also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is one of the oldest and most important temples in Bangkok. Though its exact origins remain unclear, it is believed to have stood on this sacred ground for over 300 years — even before the founding of both Thonburi and Bangkok as capital cities. This temple is home to the most stunning Reclining Buddha in Thailand — an enormous statue measuring 46 meters long and 15 meters high, completely covered in gold leaf. Its serene expression and intricate mother-of-pearl inlays on the soles of its feet are truly mesmerizing. A Different Side of Bangkok
This tour showed us more than the usual Bangkok sights. I liked the temple visits, but riding through the canals and seeing the neighbourhoods beside the water made the day more interesting for me. The flower market was also nice to see at the end. Poppy was knowledgeable but very down to earth, which made it easy to enjoy the day with her.

Such a Nice Bangkok Day
We had Prang with us and she made everything feel very easy. The canal ride was probably my favourite part because we got to see a quieter side of Bangkok and some local houses along the water. The temples were lovely too. Prang was fun to chat with and gave us lots of little tips during the day.

The canal ride was my favourite
I liked that this tour wasn’t only about temples. Wat Pho was interesting, especially the Reclining Buddha, and Wat Arun looked great by the river. The canal ride was my favourite part because we got to see a more local side of Bangkok, and the flower market was fun to walk through too. Bomb was easy to be around, knew where to take us, and shared useful little details along the way. I’d recommend this tour, especially if you want to see more than just the main temples.

Such a cool way to see Bangkok
This tour was honestly such a vibe. Wat Pho and Wat Arun were both gorgeous, but I think the canal ride was my favourite. Cruising past the old houses and seeing everyday life along the water felt totally different from the busy parts of Bangkok. The flower market was also super colourful and a fun place to walk around. Bow was awesome! She was funny, relaxed and somehow knew all the good photo spots We could joke around with her like a friend, which made the whole day even better. If you want temples but also want to see something beyond the usual tourist spots, I’d definitely recommend this one.

Bangkok Private Wat Pho, Wat Arun and Canal Tour&Flower Market: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.
How much does Bangkok Private Wat Pho, Wat Arun and Canal Tour&Flower Market cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bangkok Private Wat Pho, Wat Arun and Canal Tour&Flower Market take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.
Is Bangkok Private Wat Pho, Wat Arun and Canal Tour&Flower Market worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 71 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bangkok Private Wat Pho, Wat Arun and Canal Tour&Flower Market?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bangkok Private Wat Pho, Wat Arun and Canal Tour&Flower Market suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bangkok Private Wat Pho, Wat Arun and Canal Tour&Flower Market?
+
Around 25 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bangkok Private Wat Pho, Wat Arun and Canal Tour&Flower Market start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bangkok?
+
On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bangkok?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bangkok?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
