    What you'll see and do

    1. The Grand Palace

The Grand Palace was constructed together with the founding of Bangkok in 1782 when King Rama 1 ascended to the throne and founded a new dynasty. The Grand Palace is very important as it used to be the palladium of the state. It was used for both the royal residence and the administrative center of the country in the government system of absolute monarchy. Today, the palace is used just for ceremonials. The architectural plan of this palace was almost identical in every detail to the Grand Palace of the former capital of Ayutthaya (about 600 years ago) because the King wanted to recreate the glory of the city as it was in the past. So it was completely first built in traditional Thai style. However, at various periods, the influences from other nations affect to the architecture in Thailand in different reigns such as the Chinese elements introduced by King Rama 3 in the early 19th century and the western building style introduced by King Rama 5 in the late 19th century.

    2. Temple of the Emerald Buddha

The Emerald Buddha image, the most important Buddha image in Thailand is enshrined inside the ordination hall of the temple. The Emerald Buddha image wasn't cast from Emerald but was cast from high quality of green jade. We found the Buddha image in 1432. You come to Thailand, you should go and pray for your luck.

    3. WatPo Thai Traditional Massage School

There is no clear evidence when the Reclining Buddha Temple or Wat Pho Temple was first built but we believe that the temple has been there for over 300 years before the founding of both the capital of Thonburi and Bangkok. There you will see the most beautiful Reclining Buddha image in Thailand with 46 meters long and 15 meters high.

    A Wonderful Day Exploring Bangkok

The Grand Palace is truly beautiful well worth a visit at least once. The Temple of the Reclining Buddha is stunning as well. I really appreciate the excellent organization of this tour; the pick-up and drop-off were seamless, with no waiting around. Our guide, Nok, took great care of us she knew the routes perfectly and explained things clearly in English that was easy for everyone even the children to understand. Thank you so much for a wonderful day.

Highly recommend this tour and Prang!

Prang took such good care of us today and everyone in our group really liked her. The Grand Palace was beautiful and impressive, and the Reclining Buddha was stunning and seriously huge. At another temple, we got to dress up in traditional Thai outfits for photos, which was super fun. Such a worthwhile tour I highly recommend it and definitely recommend Prang!

Easy Day Around Bangkok with Ken

We had Ken as our guide and the whole day felt very smooth. He was good at reading the pace of the group, so we never felt hurried. I liked the Grand Palace most, but each stop had something different to see. Ken was also easy to chat with between places and gave us useful little tips along the way. Really nice day and I’d be happy to go with him again.

    Five star

We had a wonderful five-star experience on the Grand Palace and Two Temple Tour with Som and Nom. They were both friendly, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful throughout the day, sharing fascinating insights into Bangkok’s history, culture and beautiful temples. The Grand Palace was absolutely stunning, and visiting the two temples was a memorable highlight. Som and Nom made the tour enjoyable, informative and easy to follow, while also ensuring that we were comfortable and well looked after. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bangkok, especially with such excellent guides.

Bangkok Private Tour to Grand Palace , Wat Pho and Wat Arun: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.

How much does Bangkok Private Tour to Grand Palace , Wat Pho and Wat Arun cost?

    +

Prices start at $131 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bangkok Private Tour to Grand Palace , Wat Pho and Wat Arun take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.

Is Bangkok Private Tour to Grand Palace , Wat Pho and Wat Arun worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 105 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bangkok Private Tour to Grand Palace , Wat Pho and Wat Arun?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bangkok Private Tour to Grand Palace , Wat Pho and Wat Arun suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book Bangkok Private Tour to Grand Palace , Wat Pho and Wat Arun?

    +

Around 37 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bangkok Private Tour to Grand Palace , Wat Pho and Wat Arun start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bangkok?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bangkok?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bangkok?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
