Bangkok floating & train market with boat trip.

All services provided by this activity provider are excellent but the only point is the meeting point for this tour is out of the way for me. The meeting point should be housed somewhere inside the city centre where the travelling time to get there is faster and earlier especially before the office hours rush period in the morning in progression. Our tour guide named Katie is friendly, resourceful and going out the extra mile to assist us during the tour. The salt farms visit was rather interesting despite the smelly salty surrounding us. We did leant a lot about how salts are cultivated and processed into various consumptions. The train market and river floating markets were very interesting. You get to understand how the earlier life of these locals did tradings.

Response from the operator: Dear regtan4862, Thank you for your review! We're thrilled that Katie provided excellent service and that you loved learning about the salt farms and markets. We appreciate your feedback regarding the meeting point location and will share it with our team to help us improve our logistics. — Monkey Travel Asia (Natasha)

Come for the tour guide skip the train if possible.

Jenny the tour guide was amazing but the train ride could have happened on the bus. Hella hot for no reason. We only got to spend 10 mins at the train station couldn't really shop. The floating market was better but them old ladies be aggressive. Tiger bomb lady wasn't trying to let me leave. I was like I don't want it, it stank.

Response from the operator: Thanks for the review. We are so glad Jenny was an amazing guide! We hear you on the heat and short time at the railway market; we are tied to the train's strict schedule. We are also sorry those floating market vendors were so pushy with the Tiger Balm! We appreciate your honest feedback and hope you still made some fun memories.

    Our tour guide Tammy was...

Our tour guide Tammy was excellent and was great with our children. She had a quick Thai language lesson prepared for the ride to the markets. We learned a lot and got to experience the famous railroad market. She reserved seats for us at a soda / coffee shop that was within inches of the train!

Response from the operator: Thanks for the wonderful review. We are thrilled Tammy took such great care of your family and that your kids enjoyed her Thai lesson! Watching the train pass just inches from your coffee shop seats is truly a memorable experience. I will definitely share your kind words with her. We hope to welcome your family back to Thailand soon!

    Amazing Tour

Jenny, our tour guide, is a superstar. She really took care of us. She got us a good view of the train at the Maeklong Railway Market. And when we got back to Bangkok, she helped us get the correct subway line back to our hotel. After helping us, I saw her get a taxi for another family. Highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your heartwarming review! We are overjoyed that you had an amazing time and that Jenny took such great care of you. We will surely share your kind words with our superstar guide. Thank you for choosing this cultural experience! 🚂🌟

Bangkok: Floating and Train Market with Boat Trip: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.

How much does Bangkok: Floating and Train Market with Boat Trip cost?

    +

Prices start at $31 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bangkok: Floating and Train Market with Boat Trip take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.

Is Bangkok: Floating and Train Market with Boat Trip worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 194 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bangkok: Floating and Train Market with Boat Trip?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bangkok: Floating and Train Market with Boat Trip suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bangkok: Floating and Train Market with Boat Trip?

    +

Around 68 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bangkok: Floating and Train Market with Boat Trip start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bangkok?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bangkok?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bangkok?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
