The floating market and...
The floating market and railway market were fun, a must see if you want to see a little bit more of Thailand without going too far away from Bangkok. Seeing the vendors to move their stuff when the train arrived was awesome. It was not a five-star experience because although we purchased a tour that included the hotel pick up and drop off, it did not happen. We were asked to meet at the meeting point and been dropped off at the same spot.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words and 5-star rating. We're so happy to hear that you had a great experience with us.

What a memorable day!
Fantastic day trip with Bond as guide and Mr Tiki our cheery driver. A great day with 3 outstanding experiences, the railway market, the temple and then the Amphawa market. We had a long enough length of time at each for Bond to quickly give us a feel for the place and show us some local foods on offer, then we had time to ourselves to explore the markets. The boat trip at Amphawa was included, it was an hour long around the river, we saw lots of fire flys. It was a great end to the day! Would defo recommend. - Helen, 43, from England, did the trip with my best friend.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful 5 star review! We truly appreciate your kind words and are absolutely thrilled to hear that you had a great experience with us. Your satisfaction means the world to our team, and your support genuinely encourages us to keep delivering exceptional service. Thank you again for choosing us, we're grateful to have been part of your journey!

Great experience
We had a fantastic experience on the floating markets tour near Bangkok! The itinerary was perfect, especially the unique experience of watching the train pass through the Maeklong Railway Market. Our guide, Eddy, was exceptional—incredibly kind and insightful. He shared wonderful stories about local culture that made the tour feel much more personal and immersive.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your 5-star review! We are thrilled to hear that you had such a positive experience with us.

Why this scores 72
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Bangkok: Amphawa Float Market & Maeklong Railway Evening Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.
How much does Bangkok: Amphawa Float Market & Maeklong Railway Evening Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $42 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bangkok: Amphawa Float Market & Maeklong Railway Evening Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.
Is Bangkok: Amphawa Float Market & Maeklong Railway Evening Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 86 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bangkok: Amphawa Float Market & Maeklong Railway Evening Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bangkok: Amphawa Float Market & Maeklong Railway Evening Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bangkok: Amphawa Float Market & Maeklong Railway Evening Tour?
+
Around 30 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 8.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bangkok: Amphawa Float Market & Maeklong Railway Evening Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bangkok?
+
On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bangkok?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bangkok?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
