Must Experience - Highly Recommended
As someone who was born and raised in Bengaluru and now lives overseas, I was delighted to join the Malleshwaram Heritage Walk during my visit to Bengaluru in December 2025. The experience was a wonderful way to reconnect with the city’s rich history, culture, and timeless charm. The walk was thoughtfully curated, engaging, and filled with fascinating stories and insights that even long-time Bengalureans may not know. It offered a unique perspective on one of Bengaluru’s most iconic neighbourhoods and highlighted the heritage that makes our city so special. I would highly recommend these heritage walks to anyone interested in history, culture, architecture, or simply exploring Bengaluru beyond the usual landmarks. Whether you are a local or a visitor, it is a memorable experience that helps you appreciate Namma Bengaluru in a whole new way. Kudos to Raksha for her passion, dedication, and excellent organisation. Wishing her continued success, and I look forward to joining more walks on my future visits to Bengaluru.

Bringing Rich Cultural Heritage to the forefront
This was my first Heritage Walk and must say, it was awesome! Raksha really does her research and puts in all the effort before herself out there to bring in the Cultural Heritage to the forefront! Lovely experience, would like to do more such walks with Bengaluru Prayana

Uncover stories hidden in plain sight
I’ve known Raksha since my days in Australia, where I had the opportunity to explore some of Sydney’s amazing trails with her and a wonderful group of friends. Last year, while visiting Bengaluru for a family function, I decided to join the Malleshwaram Heritage Trail organised by Bengaluru Prayana. Even though I grew up in Bengaluru and was familiar with Malleshwaram, I was amazed by how much history I didn’t know. The trail was an eye-opening experience, bringing to life the origins of the area’s name and highlighting fascinating stories about prominent personalities, landmarks, and institutions along the way. The experience was thoughtfully curated from start to finish—beginning with a delicious South Indian breakfast at Veena Stores and ending with refreshing fruit juice at Eat Raja. Raksha’s passion, knowledge, and storytelling made the walk both engaging and memorable. I highly recommend joining one of Bengaluru Prayana’s heritage trails if you’d like to discover the city from a fresh perspective and uncover stories hidden in plain sight.

Lovely tour with friendly, knowledgeable guide
Interesting your and great guide! Our guide Shyam was very knowledgeable about Malleshwara(m) and spoke easily with us in English. My husband and I love street murals (we’re from Baltimore where there are so many gorgeous ones) we wanted to see what they were like in Bengaluru. The portrait of the woman was my favorite. Go early to miss the afternoon heat. Enjoy discovering this very special part of the city and Karnataka over all.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the lovely feedback. It truly means a lot to know that you connected with the stories and appreciated the character and history of the neighbourhood during the walk.

Bangalore Walking Tour: Malleshwaram, Temples & Indian Breakfast: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangalore.
How much does Bangalore Walking Tour: Malleshwaram, Temples & Indian Breakfast cost?
+
Prices start at $4000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangalore usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bangalore Walking Tour: Malleshwaram, Temples & Indian Breakfast take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangalore is not rushed.
Is Bangalore Walking Tour: Malleshwaram, Temples & Indian Breakfast worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bangalore, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bangalore Walking Tour: Malleshwaram, Temples & Indian Breakfast?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bangalore Walking Tour: Malleshwaram, Temples & Indian Breakfast suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Bangalore Walking Tour: Malleshwaram, Temples & Indian Breakfast?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangalore can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangalore and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bangalore Walking Tour: Malleshwaram, Temples & Indian Breakfast start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangalore within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bangalore?
+
On Outty we rank every Bangalore experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Old to New Bangalore Day Tour: Lalbagh, Temple, Market & Palace, Bangalore city tour with English guide & multi language support, Best of Mysore, UNESCO Somnathpur Temple & Srirangapatna Day Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bangalore?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bangalore?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
