Enjoyable Days Fishing for Trout & Other stuff
Booked directly with Pursuit for an afternoons fishing. Our guide was Eric was good company & knew his stuff. Caught two Lake Trout & one White Sucker in the first hour. Then the wind got up. We tried moving the boat to find more fish but to no avail. Scenery wss breath taking.
Response from the operator: Hi There, Thank you for sharing your fishing experience with us! We're so glad to hear you enjoyed your afternoon out on the water. It sounds like you had a great start to the trip with two lake trout and a white sucker in the first hour—that's a fantastic way to begin a fishing adventure! 🎣 While the wind can sometimes make conditions more challenging, we're happy you were still able to enjoy the incredible scenery and the experience of being out on Lake Minnewanka. We'll be sure to pass your kind words along to Eric. He'll be pleased to hear that his knowledge and company helped make your trip memorable. Thank you for choosing to fish with us, and we hope to welcome you back for another day on the lake! Banff Adventures

Fantastic Experience, Brilliant Guide
Our party of three varied from 16 to 82 years old. We all had a fantastic time, and caught 9 fish between us. Our guide Dylan was brilliant. Very knowledgeable and made sure everyone had a great time, especially my grandfather who has mobility difficulties. He was very accommodating and had a great sense of humour. Worth every penny and we would definitely recommend.
Response from the operator: Hi there, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear that all three generations of your family had such a fantastic time together on the lake. We'll be sure to pass your kind words along to Dylan. He'll be thrilled to hear that his knowledge, sense of humour, and thoughtful approach helped make the trip enjoyable for everyone—especially your grandfather. Catching 9 fish between the three of you is an excellent day on the water! Thank you for your recommendation and for choosing Banff Fishing. We hope to welcome your family back for another fishing adventure in the future! Banff Adventures

Great time in a stunning setting!
We had a great time with Dylan on the last tour of the season. He is knowledgeable and personable, and immediately makes you feel at ease. While we didn’t catch any fish (he set that expectation this late in the season) we did have an amazing time in an absolutely gorgeous setting. A 3 hour tour on that lake is worth the price itself. A fish would have been a bonus. And again, Dylan far exceeded our expectations and made the time memorable.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the lovely review! We’re so glad Dylan your fishing experience enjoyable and memorable. We are sad that the season is over! Those stunning views and great company definitely make the trip special, fish or no fish! Lake Minnewanka is a magnificent lake and we are sure your camera rolls have the evidence to show it! We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to Dylan and we hope you can join us again on the lake for more fishing!

A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work.
What a wonderful experience. Our boat didn’t catch very many fish, but the experience was well worth it. We learned a lot about the lake and the general area. Would definitely recommend.
Response from the operator: Thanks for sharing! We totally agree! A day on the water is always a win, even if the fish don’t cooperate. Glad you enjoyed learning about the lake and the area. We appreciate the recommendation and hope to see you back for another great day soon!

Banff Fishing on Lake Minnewanka: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Banff.
How much does Banff Fishing on Lake Minnewanka cost?
+
Prices start at $982 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Banff usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Banff Fishing on Lake Minnewanka take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Banff is not rushed.
Is Banff Fishing on Lake Minnewanka worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Banff, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Banff Fishing on Lake Minnewanka?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Banff Fishing on Lake Minnewanka suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Banff Fishing on Lake Minnewanka?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Banff can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Banff and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Banff Fishing on Lake Minnewanka start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Banff within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Banff?
+
On Outty we rank every Banff experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lake Louise, Moraine Lake and the Icefields Parkway Full-Day Tour, Hop-On and Hop-Off Banff Bus, ShuttleBus 2way Banff to Lake Louise (1Hr) and Moraine Lake (1Hr). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Banff?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Banff?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
