Unforgettable Jamaican Experience with Taste the Tropics & Shavaon

From start to finish, our adventure with Taste the Tropics Tours and Transportation was absolutely amazing! Shavaon was the perfect host—professional, friendly, and so knowledgeable about Jamaica’s culture and hidden gems. The service was smooth and reliable, and we felt welcomed and safe every step of the way. The horseback riding excursion was a dream—riding along the beautiful coastline with the Caribbean breeze in our hair was both peaceful and exciting. Next was the bamboo rafting, which was the highlight of the trip. Gliding down the calm river on hand-crafted rafts was pure serenity. Our raft captain shared stories, sang local tunes, and even gave a soothing limestone foot massage that left us feeling refreshed and pampered. And let’s talk about the food—fresh, flavorful, and full of island soul! From jerk chicken and curry dishes to tropical fruits and refreshing juices, every bite was delicious and satisfying. If you're looking for an immersive and relaxing Jamaican adventure, I highly recommend booking with Taste the Tropics and asking for Shavaon. Whether it’s your first visit or a return trip, they make every moment unforgettable!

    My best vacation ever

My husband and I visited Jamaica for the first time and stayed at the lovely Moon Palace Resort. We booked our excursions with Taste the Tropics Tours, which included horseback riding and bamboo rafting. We were picked up at 9:00 am and warmly greeted by Mr. Shavoan and Miss Stephanie. Our first excursion was horseback riding, which was incredible. We rode into the ocean, took pictures, and received refreshments upon our return I was impressed . we received our photos before heading to our next excursion. On our way Stephanie and Shavoan engage with us and shared some Jamaican’s history with us they also played some Jamaican music and we all sang along . We now at the bamboo rafting which was exciting, with many tourists and a lively rafter who danced and sang. I enjoyed the half-down massage, and we stopped for delicious Jamaican food and shopping. Our experience was 10/10, with excellent customer service. We plan to return in December with our children, as it's kid-friendly. Thank you, Taste the Tropic Tour, for an unforgettable experience.

    DO NOT BOOK!!!

If I could give 0 Stars I would my trip and excursions were booked and paid for well in advance up to the day before the tour I heard nothing about a designated pick up time for our excursion. I located a local telephone number and was told the schedule was being worked on expect a call back in 15 min, I replied ok no problem needless to say I never received a call back and my calls back to the company went unanswered. The next morning my fiancée and I got up and got dressed hoping for the best since the excursion displayed a start time of 7:30 we were up and ready before 7am while heading to the lobby of our resort I received an email stating our excursion had been canceled at 6:22am. No call no apology no communication no nothing!

Response from the operator: Thank you for reaching out. I apologize for the delayed response .Please be assured that we prioritize the needs and safety of all our guests. The day your excursion was reserved for was a blocked-out period due to the change of location for the Bamboo Rafting ,as mandated by the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB),which was beyond our control. This information was displayed on our website, resulting in the last-minute cancellation, and your deposit was fully refunded. I hope this incident will not impact your future bookings with our company, as this is an unprecedented occurrence. Our Company looks forward to assisting you on your next visit to Jamaica and providing you with exceptional service.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Falmouth.

How much does Bamboo Rafting & Horseback Riding combo tour from montego bay cost?

    +

Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Falmouth usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bamboo Rafting & Horseback Riding combo tour from montego bay take?

    +

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Falmouth is not rushed.

Is Bamboo Rafting & Horseback Riding combo tour from montego bay worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Falmouth, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bamboo Rafting & Horseback Riding combo tour from montego bay?

    +

Is Bamboo Rafting & Horseback Riding combo tour from montego bay suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bamboo Rafting & Horseback Riding combo tour from montego bay?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Falmouth can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Falmouth and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bamboo Rafting & Horseback Riding combo tour from montego bay start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Falmouth within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Falmouth?

    +

On Outty we rank every Falmouth experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include ATV Jungle Safari Tour from Montego Bay, Jamaica Culture Tour: Culinary, Cultural, History and Dance, Jamaica Martha Brae Bamboo Rafting with Bus Transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Falmouth?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Falmouth?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
