Fantastic Balitri experience!

Fantastic service from Balitri! I contacted them on WhatsApp from their website. I was interested in road bike hire and a guided ride from my hotel in Ubud. Mia was extremely helpful in answering my questions and arranging everything. They delivered a Spesh Tarmac SL6 ultegra mechanical disc spec to me the night before. Ketut the mechanic delivered and knows his business, the bike was obviously well looked after and in fine condition. The next day my guide, another Ketut, arrived at my hotel early in the morning for a guided ride loop of 70km with 1250m climbing to Kintamani. Again Ketut the ride captain was excellent, pointed out turns and obstructions with hand signals, took control at junctions and took photos and videos, a great guy. The main roads are in great condition, perfect for road cycling but trafic and junctions can be alarming. Cost was 500k idr for 1 day bike hire, 350k for delivery and pickup and 1,000k for the guide, a very fair price for this level of equipment and exceptional service. I had to leave a 3,000k deposit for the bike, everything is cash on delivery; the bike was returned in good condition and i got my deposit back in full. I was told if I had my home currency (GBP) they would have accepted it as the deposit. In Bali everywhere certainly cash is still king and money changers are everywhere, had I known I would have brought an amount of my home currency with me for situations like this or emergencies. I highly recommend Balitri for high quality road bike hire and guided rides.

Recommended

I rented a road bike for GFNY Bali and they delivered it to the agreed location. The bike was in a good condition, well kept. The guy who delivered it was very nice and helped to install my own pedal. Afterwards he came to collect it from me at my convenience. Everything went smoothly and pleasantly. The only issue I can mention was a misunderstanding about deposit. From their messages my understanding was that they wave the deposit, but actually they asked for it upon delivery and I was short on cash. So I had to borrow from my friend.

Nice bike

I rented a bike for 3 days. They dropped the bike off at a hotel and also picked up smoothly. The bike itself was very nice, no problem at all. If I were close to their place I would loved to go on a tour too.ᐟ

Great bike rental

I hired a bike from BaliTri whilst staying at the hotel. It was a great bike, well maintained and looked after, perfect for the guided ride up to Tegalalang Rice Terraces. I could also have switched out pedals to cleats, and hired a helmet. A great service at a reasonable price.

The best bicycle rental

A very well run and efficient service. I hired a Specialized for spin run south Bali with a local tour guide (Pak Aan). I requested Shimano clip ons as well for total enjoyment. The bike was delivered to the hotel I was staying at and picked up after the ride. All I had to do was bring my gear! Very enjoyable and a great service. Will be using again and recommend as well!

Bali road bike hire / rent: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ubud.

How much does Bali road bike hire / rent cost?

+

Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bali road bike hire / rent take?

+

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.

Is Bali road bike hire / rent worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bali road bike hire / rent?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bali road bike hire / rent suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bali road bike hire / rent?

+

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bali road bike hire / rent start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Ubud?

+

On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ubud?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ubud?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
