There are good selection of reptiles to view. The guide was informative. The admission for foreigners are quite high for only to see reptile section, it would be better if the price to include the bird park as well.

Great but small park

This is a great reptile park. They had an orange iguana and large snake at the entrance which looked amazing. Every party going through the park had their own host. Our host was very knowledgeable and entertaining but quite over familiar - asking us personal questions which we didnt feel comfortable with. However, we enjoyed the park and they had a great range of snakes, reptiles, lizards and we enjoyed it. Took us 1 hour to go through the park. Having a guide was informative but at times we felt that he rushed us through the areas and we werent given enough time to view things at our own pace. Would still recommend though.

Herping program

The evening herping program was excellent. Really interesting and informative. The guides were very helpful and keen to adapt the program according to our interests and wishes.

Fascinating, fact filled, interactive experience.

A really interactive experience! After initially being invited to hold a snake and an iguana, our guide knowledgeably described each of the reptiles we saw, answering questions with ease. The animals encounter enabled visitors to further handle hot and cold blooded reptiles under caring supervision of staff. The salt water crocodile feeding time was thrilling. Would recommend this destination.

If animals abuse was a tourist attraction, this would be it

Possibly the worst reptile park i’ve ever been to. Some enclosures were the right size but the majority of them were way too small such as the salt water crocodile enclosure which barely had enough water to cover half of the crocodile. The staff didn’t to be very understanding of what reptiles like and don’t like considering there was a heavily distressed Green Iguana at the front entrance. As well as this, staff were shinning torches at nocturnal reptiles inside their already small enclosures. Children were left unsupervised inside the tortoise handling pen and were hitting the tortoises on their backs and hitting their heads. Overall, an upsetting and disappointing experience in a country with a large diversity of native reptiles. I thought the people would have more respect for these animals.

However, the title of your comment about animal abuse is highly provocative. Animal abuse, by definition, refers to the mistreatment or cruelty of animals. We deeply regret your statement. We care more about our collection than anyone else, so how could we treat them so arbitrarily? We consistently strive to implement the principles of the 5 freedoms and 5 domains in managing our animal collection, and within the Indonesian Zoo Association (PKBSI) and the Ministry of Forestry, our supervisors. We may not be the best reptile park in the world, but ours has received thousands of satisfied visitors, with very minor negative comments. While we don't know your exact background, your comments demonstrate that you are a true conservationist and herpetologist who has done much good in the field of conservation without a single flaw. We would be delighted if you could share your profile and contact information with us so we can consult with you further to improve our zoo. We have had a long-standing crocodile collection, and they are very comfortable in these conditions. We do limit the depth of the pool to prevent them from jumping high, which could be dangerous for visitors. Specifically, the saltwater crocodiles in our park are not only for our collection but also for our conservation efforts. These crocodiles were entrusted to the government 20 years ago after being rescued by irresponsible individuals. Considering the impossibility of returning them to their natural habitat, it is our obligation to assist the government in rehoming these animals. And the general public can also participate in the conservation efforts of these crocodiles with an entrance ticket included with you.
