Fun action-packed trip: cycling part better suited to older kids

Yuda arrived 5 minutes ahead of time and the car was spacious, air conditioned and equipped with cross-body seatbelts. He was friendly, patient and kind with our 3 children and was willing to play songs they liked on the car stereo to keep them amused on the long journey. The bike meeting/ breakfast spot was spectacular- one of the best vistas I’ve ever seen. We met Made the bike guide and he was helpful and safety conscious, adapting the route to accommodate our 3 kids. It’s worth noting, while the recommended age is 5+, this is not what I’d consider suitable for younger kids even competent cyclists like our 10,8 and 6 year old. We got the impression it would be mainly cycling through rice paddies but it was 95% on country roads, cycling downhill and we were afraid of other vehicles passing our kids on narrow roads. Having said that, it would be super fun for teenagers and the countryside was beautiful and interesting. The bikes were in good condition and helmets were provided. The bike van followed us and after 12km Made suggested we jump in for the rest of the way and we were happy to. Lunch was at the bike offices and it was simple but fresh and delicious. Yuda accompanied us to the monkey temple, happily accommodated a request of ours to revisit a place we’d been to on a previous trip and then on to the waterfall. We skipped the palace as our kids were tiring. The waterfall was quite spectacular and kids enjoyed swimming in the lower pool. The traffic back to our villa in Seminyak was crazy and it took 2 h+ to get back, but that’s no-one’s fault it’s just Bali. All in all it was a great day, kids were buzzing and we all enjoyed it. Yuda made us feel safe and well looked after the whole time.

Great scenery, beautiful temples.

Agung was very informative about each site we went to and wanted to make sure we had a great experience . The cycling went longer than we expected because our guide pedaled slowly even though we told him several times we wanted to go faster. It was a lot of activities for one day considering the distance of driving and traffic. Agung did a wonderful job of trying to fit everything in.

Bali Cycling and Ubud Waterfall Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seminyak.

How much does Bali Cycling and Ubud Waterfall Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seminyak usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bali Cycling and Ubud Waterfall Tour take?

+

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seminyak is not rushed.

Is Bali Cycling and Ubud Waterfall Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seminyak, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bali Cycling and Ubud Waterfall Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bali Cycling and Ubud Waterfall Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Bali Cycling and Ubud Waterfall Tour?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seminyak can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seminyak and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bali Cycling and Ubud Waterfall Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seminyak within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Seminyak?

+

On Outty we rank every Seminyak experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Bali Waterfalls: Tibumana, Tukad Cepung and Tegenungan, Bali Instagram Tour: The Most Scenic Spots, Ubud Hot Springs and Waterfall Private Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Seminyak?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Seminyak?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
