Highly recommended
It all started one day before our cooking class when I received a message from our pickup driver Rukun saying we would be picked up at 7am from our hotel in Kuta which was nice just to have the confirmation. The following morning we were picked up at 7am on the dot by Rukun who ran through the mornings itinerary so we knew what to expect from our day. The car was private and well maintained. It took us about 90 mins to reach our destination at a small market with a small group of people and our cookery teacher. He showed us around stopping at various stalls explaining what things were and how local people used some of the produce. Then it was a quick trip back to our hosts kitchen which was in the most idyllic location between rice fields. We started by making our own offering which can be seen throughout Bali which was lovely. Then we chopped and ground ingredients by following the instructors guidance. Our fellow group consisted of another 8 or so people so hearing what was said was easy and he spoke good English. We took it in turns to fry ingredients and not before long we all sat down and ate our delicious lunch that we'd all cooked. It was great listening to stories from the other travellers who were from all over the world. About 1pm we left with Rukun to start our journey back, but not before we were all given the recipes so that we could practise what we we taught. It was great hearing about his life in Sumartra and how he loves his job meeting people all around the world. We got back to Kuta just before 3pm We had a fantastic day!! We both will be definitely trying out what we learnt at home. A nice surprise came later on in the evening when I received some photos and video of our day from Rukun, lovely touch! Highly recommended

We chopped, grinded, mixed, flipped, cooked and ate a 7-course meal!
The day started with an early morning trip up to Ubud. On arrival, we did a tour of a 'growers' market, learning about some of the foods we would be using and about their culture. There were 3 cooking stations, and the large group was split into groups of 10. We chopped, grinded, mixed, flipped, cooked and ate a 7-course meal, sharing lots of laughs with the people in our group. The tour was advertised as being 5 hours. We were picked up from out hotel at 6.30am and got back at 2.30pm. This was fine as we didn't have anything else booked for that day, but take this into consideration if you do. We had lots fun and I would definitely recommend. Great value for money.

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Bali Cooking Class with Hotel Pick-up: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kuta.
How much does Bali Cooking Class with Hotel Pick-up cost?
+
Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kuta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bali Cooking Class with Hotel Pick-up take?
+
Plan for about 24 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kuta is not rushed.
Is Bali Cooking Class with Hotel Pick-up worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kuta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bali Cooking Class with Hotel Pick-up?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bali Cooking Class with Hotel Pick-up suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 17. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 24-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Bali Cooking Class with Hotel Pick-up?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kuta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kuta and add a light layer if any part of the 24-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bali Cooking Class with Hotel Pick-up start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kuta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kuta?
+
On Outty we rank every Kuta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include East Bali Tour: Gate of Heaven, Water Palace, Sleeping Gajah, Ubud Day Tour: Sacred Monkey Forest, Tegenungan Waterfall, Rice Terrace, Bali 5 Days and 4 Nights Private Tour - Best and Famous Site. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kuta?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kuta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
