Great guide and driver, but more time in the car than expected
We had a really good experience with our guide, Kadek, who was definitely the highlight of the trip. He spoke very good English and was incredibly knowledgeable about Bali and Indonesia. He shared lots of interesting information about the local culture, religion, politics and everyday life, which made the journey much more interesting and gave us a much better understanding of Bali. Kadek was also very polite, punctual and professional throughout the day. He gave us useful advice about getting around Bali and made sure we understood how to stay safe when navigating the busy streets. His driving was excellent and felt very safe, and the car was comfortable and in great condition. The main downside was that we spent considerably more time in the car than we had expected. This wasn’t very clear from the Tripadvisor description, which gave the impression that we would be getting out and experiencing quite a lot of different places during the day. In reality, we estimate that around 60–70% of the day was spent driving. While the driving itself was comfortable thanks to Kadek, it was a little disappointing given the price of the tour. The description also suggested a somewhat intimate and special experience. However, the places we visited were quite crowded, and especially the dinner by the beach felt more like a large shared tourist setting than the intimate and cosy beach dinner we had imagined. Overall, we really enjoyed having Kadek as our guide and would happily recommend him as a guide and driver. Our main reservation is the price of the tour compared with what was included. At the price we paid, we felt that the experience was quite expensive, particularly considering that a private driver could have been hired separately for less than half the price. That said, Kadek himself was excellent, and he genuinely made the experience better with his knowledge, friendliness and safe driving.

Exceptional tour with Kadek!
Kadek made this trip worth while! He made sure we were okay at every turn of this trip! It’s was such a fun and insightful day. Kadek taught me heaps about the cultural side of Bali which I loved! He answered every question I asked. Even had a blackout so service wasnt working but Kadek made it his mission to locate us and check we were safe. Kadek is the man for this trip! Probably my favourite tour I have ever done in Bali!
