A guide we keep coming back to
We hired Agus for a half-day tour of the Ubud Valley on this trip. This wasn't our first time with him either. My wife and I used Agus 13 years ago on a trip to Bali for a wedding, back then he took us up the mountain for a longer tour, coffee tasting, biking down through the rice fields, Tanah Lot, and more. We remembered him fondly enough that when we started planning this trip with our kids, booking Agus again wasn't really a question. To be fair, he's the only guide we've used in Bali, so we can't really compare him to alternatives, just to our own good memory of him from before. The tour itself This time was a half-day loop through the Ubud Valley: Sacred Monkey Forest, then the rice terraces at Tegallalang, where we fed the koi and carp in the irrigation ponds and had lunch. From there we went to Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu, a small temple away from the crowds, where we watched both locals and tourists go through their purification and washing rituals. Agus walked us through how the rice actually gets grown, plus other plants and vegetation native to the island that we would have just walked past otherwise. His English is excellent, and it's clear he's knowledgeable about Bali well beyond just the stops on our itinerary, always excited to share the culture with us. He also took plenty of photos and video shorts for us along the way, useful for social media. Agus himself Agus is friendly, easygoing, and clearly comfortable in the Ubud Valley area. At the Monkey Forest specifically, he seemed to know the place well, keeping the monkeys in check around us and advising other tourists nearby on whether it was safe to get closer to certain monkeys. Our kids got along great with him. He made an effort to include them, teaching them a few words in Balinese and keeping them engaged throughout the day rather than just herding everyone from stop to stop. Would we book him again? Yes. We've now used Agus twice, 13 years apart, and would do it again. If you're looking for a guide for Bali with local knowledge and a friendly, low-key manner, Agus is a solid choice.
Response from the operator: Dear Adrian, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review—and for being a repeat guest over 13 years! That truly means the world to me. After spending so much time at the forest, I feel a responsibility to help visitors enjoy the experience safely while respecting the animals. It’s always a priority for me to read their behavior so everyone can feel at ease. Hearing that your kids had a great time really makes my day. I believe traveling with children is about more than just sightseeing—it’s about creating memories and connections. Teaching them a few Balinese words and keeping them curious is my way of sharing a little piece of our culture with the next generation. Thank you for trusting me again after all these years. It's guests like you who remind me why I love what I do. I hope our paths cross again on your next visit to Bali—I’d be honored to show you even more of our beautiful island. SUKSMA very much Warm regards, Agus

Book immediately for a fantastic day!
Although we booked through a third party we were so lucky to have had THE BEST day with Agus! We learned so much about the local area and had fantastic photos taken to remember our trip of a lifetime. Agus is hilarious, endlessly accommodating and in the words of my teenager ‘he’s a cool guy’ - high praise indeed! For a day of finding perfect photo opportunities while learning about local culture and exploring beautiful Bali, Agus is your man, we can’t recommend him highly enough!

The best guide in Bali — and so much more
Agus is hands down the best guide in Bali. He takes you to the most beautiful spots on the island, including hidden places well off the beaten tourist track, and along the way he weaves in fascinating stories and a deep knowledge of Balinese culture, history, and everyday life. What makes his tours special is that you don't just look at things — you become part of the culture and actually experience it. You join in, you take part, and you leave feeling like you've been let into the real Bali rather than shown it from the outside. He presents everything with a wonderfully humorous touch, which makes the whole day feel relaxed and easy — you feel completely at home in his company. He also thinks of everything. He always has whatever you might need with you, so you never have to worry about a thing. And on top of all that, he takes absolutely stunning photos. If you're looking for a guide who makes your trip unforgettable, look no further.

The best way to experience the real Bali
We did the “Bali As You Wish” tour with Agus and had an amazing day. We visited temples, rice fields, and did a coffee tasting, all without many tourists. Agus is a fantastic guide – very friendly, knowledgeable, and full of great energy. He really knows Bali and made the day feel very personal. Perfect if you want to see the real Bali!

Bali as You Wish Tour guided by AGUS: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Nusa Dua.
How much does Bali as You Wish Tour guided by AGUS cost?
+
Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Nusa Dua usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bali as You Wish Tour guided by AGUS take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Nusa Dua is not rushed.
Is Bali as You Wish Tour guided by AGUS worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 50 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Nusa Dua, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bali as You Wish Tour guided by AGUS?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bali as You Wish Tour guided by AGUS suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Bali as You Wish Tour guided by AGUS?
+
Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Nusa Dua can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Nusa Dua and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bali as You Wish Tour guided by AGUS start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Nusa Dua within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Nusa Dua?
+
On Outty we rank every Nusa Dua experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Sunrise Trekking Tour - Bali Volcano Adventure, Bali Shore Excursions : Private Bali Car Rental Service, Best Full Day Of Ubud Private Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Nusa Dua?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Nusa Dua?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
