    What an amazing...

What an amazing experience. We visited Tanah Lot first at the recommendation of our driver (to avoid the traffic returning into Kuta area in the evening) and we are so thankful we did as we also avoided the crowds and could really appreciate this sacred site. For such a full program, we still had plenty of time at each temple to explore, sit & contemplate. Our driver, Dewa, was both attentive & gave us space to just 'be'. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience! We love to hear that you enjoyed visiting Tanah Lot and appreciated the peaceful atmosphere before the crowds arrived. It’s great to know that Dewa helped make your journey comfortable and memorable while giving you the time and space to truly enjoy each temple. Your kind recommendation means a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you again on another beautiful Bali adventure soon! 🌺 Joe's Bali Tours

Wonderful tour of the key attractions

Our driver JoJo was terrific—courteous, very friendly, he took care of all admissions tickets, tolls, etc he never ever rushed us while visiting any of the temples, rice fields, coffee/teas growers, and he stayed with us the entire walking time offering commentary. His vehicle was clean, spacious, and comfortable and the air conditioning was much appreciated. He always had a bottle of chilled water ready for us after each site visit. This day tour covers the 3 major temples and rice fields so it’s a great package for anyone more interested in history/culture vs beaches. Great photo opportunities. Just the driving through the streets is an experience in itself with all the motor scooters whizzing by! We’d definitely seek out JoJo again and we give this tour the highest marks.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! JoJo is one of the best drivers on the island and a true professional. We hope to see you again in the future. Thanks for choosing Joe's Bali Tours!

Great trip with a great guide

This is a great trip to see some of the most pictured temples in Bali and a less crowded rice terrace than tegalalang. Our guide was KoKo and he was fab. Really friendly and informative but didn't crowd us. Also a brilliant driver. He was super accommodating and picked us up from our hotel, found us a vegetarian place for lunch and always had water waiting for us (as well as umbrellas, which we needed).

Response from the operator: Hello dear clare, Thank you for your fantastic review! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed visiting Bali's picturesque temples and the less crowded rice terrace. It's wonderful to know that KoKo made your trip memorable with his friendliness and informative guidance. We’re glad he could accommodate your needs with a vegetarian lunch spot, water, and umbrellas. Your positive feedback means a lot to us. We hope to see you again on your next adventure! Best regards, Joe

    Easy temple tour for all.

In this tour you get to see beautiful old temples, rise field and taste different kind of local coffees and herbals. This tour is suitable both to old people and children. Buffet lunch which is included is delicious. My guide/driver was Koko, who is very knowledgeable of hindu customs and culture and very amable as a person. I had a great day and as a solo femle traveller I felt very secure and comfortable during the whole day tour. I did this from Sanur.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! We are happy we provided you with a tour you enjoyed and felt comfortable with.

Temple tour worth taking, kids friendly temple areas.

My guide/ driver Koko was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about hindu religion and customs and very likable as a person. We had good conversations and the temples were really awesome. Very good day trip, and it included tasty buffet lunch at the temple area. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe and comfortable during the whole tour.

Bali Ancient Temples Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ubud.

How much does Bali Ancient Temples Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $42 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bali Ancient Temples Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.

Is Bali Ancient Temples Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bali Ancient Temples Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bali Ancient Temples Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bali Ancient Temples Tour?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bali Ancient Temples Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Ubud?

    +

On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ubud?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ubud?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
